I took my 350 in for an oil change and to address the rear bumper TSB. The service advisor said she couldn't find a TSB based on my VIN, she even brought out a technician that said it didn't need to be addressed (gotta love that). Is this TSB attached to specific VINs or am I able to bring this up based on a general year of production? My 350 production date is 9/15.

Its NOT based on a vin. If you have the gap (which many have one side or the other or both) and your still within your bumper to bumper warranty then if you want them to try to fix it they have to. But please do a search and read all the articles of those that it was better when done. worse. or the same. And if you still want it done I'd suggest you go to another dealership. A lot of dealerships don't want to try to do it if they can get out of it because what all is involved there isn't near enough paid time allotted by Ford to do it.

I took mine to the dealer yesterday for this and they seemed fine with doing it and ford already approved the work. Mine is a 2018. Also was told gt350 oil filters are on a national back order.
