I've had a few people ask me recently about how to do this and I finally remembered to take pictures.

It's fairly well know that you can fit three wheels in the back seat and one in the trunk along with various tools but you can fit this all in the car even with a roll bar.

I put two through the trunk and two in the passenger seat area (passenger seat needs to be removed for this to work). I bring this along with a jack, four stands, bag of misc tools, impact, tire inflator, socket wrench set, torque wrench & breaker bar, helmet + HANS, food/drink, and two folding chairs.

Clever but what’s the point of 2 folding chairs if only 1 person can ride in the car to the track?

LOL, out of curiosity, what is the payload of a Mustang?

That's awesome, I'd love to see the looks as cars see tires instead of a passenger seat.

So do you ride with the stock wheels & tools in your trunk while on the track?

You DO strap down the two wheels in the passager seat area when driving to/from the track, correct?

Not allowed. Everything must be out the trunk

Why, where are they going?
Let's say he's on the road, not track, and an IDIOT hits his car or causes him to swerve suddenly, and a 60 POUND wheel/tire starts flying around INSIDE the car. Nothing I'd want happening to me.

No, I just leave it all at my spot in the paddock. Track people are pretty respectful.

Well that is pretty nice of the rest of them. I guess I have trust issues. I was wondering how I was gonna drive 2.5 hrs to the track & just leave the wheels somewhere without having someone watch over them. I live 2.5 hrs one way from the drag strip & 4.5 hrs away from Topeka. Was planning on getting my car to break 10s at the drag strip before signing up for a few courses at a road course this year & taking the car more towards that direction. Thank you!

Nobody wants your road wheels. But if you're that paranoid get a length of chain and loop it thru and pad lock.

But that's road course. Drag strip people I can't vouch for. 😉

I've had to do a similar tire/wheel transport but had only one wheel in the passenger seat and the trunk wouldn't close all the way. It's doable.

Are those OEM PP2 wheels or painted Ford Performance?
