No, I have those. There more for higher vehicles like SUVs. My problem is I bought the longer quickjack when I had the 197 as it needed it. The pockets for the lifting blocks on the the longer jack are too far back for the 550.
Which jack did you buy. I'm thinking about buying a quickjack and don't want to run into problems. From what I can see there is very little difference in lengths between models.
Any way to use wood blocks?

I will look but its an "L" which is long. You could cut up some wood blocks. I bought the rubber block kit

This subject has been covered many times by this site as well as others. My take coming from an old DragRacer. D/S, E/S, H,S and SS/I. I have used BMR products most of my life. At age 79 I no longer race. But I am still able to wrench on my car. The BMR Jacking Rails are the best you can get. They are well made, full length, and they fit. Did I mention they are a breeze to jack up your car?
Listen to anyone, do your own research, But the BMR are the toughest you can buy. And those of us that are troubled by a little added weight. You don't race or track your car everyday. A little extra strength for daily driving is peace of mind.

I have the full length steeda jacking rails and the quickjack 5000 (new version = 5000TL) and it's juuuuust the right size meaning that the rubber blocks from the quickjack go all the way to the each end of the rail.

I'm looking at the 7000TL which is 70.75 long vs the 5000TL which is 70 inches long.
So 7000TL is only 3/4 inch longer, should work? Don't need the extra strength for the mustang but it can't hurt, expect the extra money when you pay for it.

I asked our lead tech if they should work with the 7000TL - we aren't able to test every product on the market but he indicated that there are adapters that will allow you to use the jacking rails - what I don't know is - if the adapters are included or if they are an

I asked our lead tech if he had any insight - he said they should work but we haven't test fit it - he said there are adaptors that either come with the kit or are an add - they can be utilized to use with most jacking rails.

I have the BMR rails and got them specifically because they were longer and parallel to the ground. I love mine. I'm sure the Steeda rails are sufficient and they are cheaper. I just wanted the ability to space jack stands on the rails as far apart as possible.
Exactly the same reasons I bought BMR rails.

Certainly not a bad choice, but I will go for fully welded, even if they are then not low profile.
