I remember subframe commenters were all the rage on 94-03 mustangs, doesn’t seem like a big deal anymore, the jacking rails look similar, what’s the difference?

Subframe connectors are used to tie the front and rear subframes of a unibody car to stiffen the car for improved handling.

Jacking rails are used to protect the rocker panels when jacking up the car.

The chassis are also much stiffer these days. Those old fox cars were like a wet noodle.
