Easy enough install, but did you guys remove the seam sealer or just install over it.
Seam sealer is there for a reason.

I removed the excess sealer so they would sit flush on the body.

Seam sealer is there for a reason.
I scraped it off with a flat head screwdriver first. I believe the thickness and locations vary car to car. I scraped it off to maximize any additional stiffness to the chassis by having the rails pressed solidly to the metal of the car.

The sealer on my car seemed thin and soft enough to squish, so I just mounted my rails (BMR Super Low Profile) without removing any of the sealer...

Put them on today. Had to remove some sealer. Will probably re cover some of the exposed seam,
Also installed the redline hood struts.

I just installed on top of the seam sealant. Jacked the car ~10 times now, and haven't had any concerns.

My sealant was gobbed on pretty heavy so it had to go.

I too removed the excess sealant pursuant to the instructions received from BMR.

Received my BMR rails today...backordered for over a month.
No instructions in the box so I went to BMRs website for the instructions. No mention of the seam sealer. Itā€™s pretty hot right now in my area so the sealer will probably squish down but weā€™ll see tomorrow.
Iā€™ve looked at a couple YouTube videos and one recommended blue lock tight replacement and torque the bolts to 63ftlbs. The BMR instructions say nothing of blue lock tight and say to torque to 41ftlbs.
Iā€™m going with 52ftlbs and blue lock tight on half the bolts.
