1853 and 1718 are the ones. perfect street pads, 99.57% less dust and they dont squeal and i forgot to bed them in and they nevertheless work perfectly. Bought from Bezos.
If you plan to keep the car forever go with the Shelby because it's frickin shelby cobra(yes cobra) 5.2L FPC one of a kind never to be built again and you can repair it when/if it breaks ($20,000) and then continue keeping it forever with a giant smile on your face every single time you drive...
IDK how modded you are but how about acquiring a Ford extended warranty? Ive read that even if the car is used it's not a prob just needs an inspection. If the engine goes, you'll get a new one c/o the esp...if it doesnt go then all the better.
I'm looking into springs also, pretty much settled on the bmr handling springs based solely on HB's opinion on this board. They lower the car the least out of all of them, which Ive read is nice since they dont throw the suspension out of whack and make other mods necessary.
A question i'd like...
I cured the problem...by getting an suv lol. If this is your only car and your daily, sucks but best to switch it out for an suv or truck. Or maybe installing the bmr handling springs and put the suspension on normal setting might do the trick? good luck
Keep the Shelby. Getting rid of it is a fear-based decision and that's not good in this case. What's the saying...fear only exists in your imagination of what could happen. So youre getting rid of a beloved completely unique never to be built again perfect in every way vehicle...because...
Just had my a/c supercharger whine repaired. Dealer tech said the clutches on these a/c compressors conk out when there's a sudden increase in RPMs lol.
Silver lining is these issues popped up soon after purchase so they wont blame you, and you have a valid extended warranty. I would relax for a few weeks and let them do their thing. Maybe get a walkaround video in case there are any additional issues ie they ding your door and deny it. Good...
Dealer just called me back and said...get this..."the engine whining from the a/c goes away when you open the 2 center vents in the dash, so everything's working fine." Now i have to go bang heads.
I've used my a/c a total of 4 times and the compressor already thinks it's a supercharger.
Car is at the dealer right now for the first time with a paper stuck on the dash that reads "PLEASE DO NOT REV ENGINE ABOVE 3k IF TEMP UNDER 180"
Fingers crossed.
Thank you for the answers, I didnt realize how much just the studs cost in the OP hubs.
This is where I got the whole one-time-use for the hub mount bolts: 4:36 in this video
Ordered some new ones #ocd
Great write up thank you! Im looking to do this too and have a couple questions
1. The 4 hub mounting bolts, somewhere i read or heard that they are single use...is this true and is this the part...
All s550 Mustangs are pretty solid, but if we MUST compare then...
GT350 > GT500(!!), Mach 1, GT, Ecoboost, Shelby American, Saleen, s650 Dark Donkey, any other mustang in history. It's not just the Mach 1 it's better than, but the Mach 1 owners seem the most intent on trying to prove...
