Received my BMR rails today...backordered for over a month.
No instructions in the box so I went to BMRs website for the instructions. No mention of the seam sealer. It’s pretty hot right now in my area so the sealer will probably squish down but we’ll see tomorrow.
I’ve looked at a couple YouTube videos and one recommended blue lock tight replacement and torque the bolts to 63ftlbs. The BMR instructions say nothing of blue lock tight and say to torque to 41ftlbs.
I’m going with 52ftlbs and blue lock tight on half the bolts.
you will be fine. BMR rails here and I did not have to remove the seam sealer

I only removed a blob in the front that ran from side to side. Front to back looked fine.
I wonder why the new supplied bolts are shorter than the factory ones? Do those bolts
do anything else?

No “supplied” new bolts for me as well as no instructions.
I decided to get them installed last night....non event.

Installed the super low profile rails last week, didn't remove any sealer, and Qed to 41'LBS. My bolts also had plenty of blue thread locker on them.
