Exactly. My R3 works fantastic and goes off from mile away on a ka band and always is accurate. I got hyped up on the new R7 with the arrows and with a gift card that I had I bought the r7.

I tried selling the gift card for $400 to the customers inside of best buy and they actually got scared and walked away . Lol

One thing I really like about the r7 is the power plug is on the right side instead of the left side like the R3.

I am in irvine. I believe the upcoming r7 has the front and rear arrows and that is about it.

I am on trip right now going up north and on 5N it works perfect. I did get a laser last night on 405N but couldn't or locate a cop.

But today I got about 5 Ka band warnings and all of the were spot on. Cop cars located after 3/4 of mile to a mile.
Remember, AIR-COPS will set it off if they are not counting stripes/markers

+1 for blend mounts. I'm running a MAX360c w/M1 on mine.

As a longtime Escort user, going back to its original model in the 1970s, this past May I went "all in" to upgrade my radar detector from a cordless Escort Solo S4 to an Escort Redline 360c, along with a 2 year extended warranty, and a 3 year Defender Database subscription that I use in conjunction with the Escort Live application on my i-phone. I even activated the Hotspot in my Shelby so I can connect to WiFi with the detector. I also opted for 2 Blend Mount units with 2 Mirror Taps, one for my Shelby and one for my Maxima, so I can easily switch the detector between either car.

In my opinion, the Escort Redline 360c certainly qualifies as one of the "Awesome Radar Detectors" available right now. The features and capabilities present in this detector are really impressive. Although I had considered the Valentine One Generation 2 and possibly the Uniden R8 as alternative awesome radar detectors, based on reviews by Vortex Radar, I had to go with the full featured functionality (and brand loyalty) of this Escort flagship model. The Blend Mounts eliminate the possibility of suction cup mounts failing (as I've previously experienced), and the conveniently connectable Mirror Taps eliminate the need to run an unsightly power cord to the nearest 12V outlet.

Radar detectors have truly come a long way since the days of the "Fuzzbuster", for those old enough to remember!

Jammers are 100% not OK with the cops in any state.
Just to clarify your comment.. I know you replied to radar jammers which yes are 100% illegal. Laser jammers are not illegal though in every state. Only 11 states plus DC have laws making it illegal.

Radar Jammers are illegal. Any electronic device used by consumers has to be FCC type accepted by them, and real police radar jammers that emit radio waves are not in the Code of Federal Regulations. Nowwww if your smart enough you can go buy a noise diode and some good band pass filters and a good power amplifier, with a small horn or micro strip antenna and cobble one together.

And if you have an amateur extra license it is perfectly legal.

Pfft I could make it now, with no license needed as an experiment. But you really need to place them aimed at 45 degrees or so off center and installed at the corners of the front bumper (right and left side) and use an antenna with a wider horizontal antenna beamwidth. Probably good idea to do the same in the rear bumper too. Needs a good weather proof housing and heat sinks. Then you have mostly 360 coverage as in most cases they sit in places at angles off your forward direction.

I have the ESCORT Redline, love it, will even tell you traffic cameras that are on at stoplights.

I just took a 3000 mile trip from Texas to CA and NV and back in my 350R and the cheap Uniden R1 worked superbly. The range is still pretty extraordinary (I was doing some BIG speeds at varying times). Coincidentally, I discovered that my non-tech pack 2020 350R has Android Auto the day before my trip and Google Maps actually has Waze-style alerts for speed traps which helped a couple of times.

I also have an Escort 360 from a few years ago and the arrows are nice but, honestly, don't matter to me because if my radar starts chirping, I slow down to close to the speed limit, no matter what direction it's coming from.
