Aaron, that looks really good, in my opinion. The tire-to-rim fitment looks right, and the tire-to-fender gap looks good with those 30 series aspect ratio tires, apparently thanks to the lowered FP springs you installed previously.
All in all, job well done. Enjoy!
I have the same concern regarding my black Gorilla brand lug nuts I noted in post #8 above. Someone else had previously noted in a different thread that Lowe's sells anti-marring sockets. I found that they sell a Craftsman 1/2" drive, 6 point, 17/18/19 mm sized Wheel Socket Set, item #...
I recommend Gorilla lug nuts, which is what I switched to. They don't have the metal/aluminum covering on them which can frustrate removal of the nuts over time if they become worn or damaged by frequent removal/reinstallation or by use of an ill-fitting wrench/socket, and are available in black...
In answer to your question, the 590 CCA replacement Motorcraft battery I obtained is listed as a "BXT 96R 590" on my receipt; no other part number identifier is indicated.
FYI, for what it's worth regarding Motorcraft batteries, I recall reading something previously that the 470 CCA battery was...
Regarding battery BRANDS, like @monte87 did above, I also replaced the OEM Motorcraft battery in my 2019 GT350 with a new Motorcraft battery, so I don't have any experiences to share regarding alternate brands. As you may already know, there are various posts within this forum regarding battery...
With ambient temperatures hovering around 60F the last day or so in south Jersey, well above the 45F temperature minimum for its Cup 2 tires, with no precipitation forecast, and with the roads both clear and dry, I roused my Shelby out of its short-lived deep-sleep mode hibernation in my heated...
Installed a set of 4 black aluminum alloy Stealth Lift Pads from ZL-1 Add-Ons on each of the 4 jacking points around the car. Applied blue LocTite to the 2 screws on each pad to ensure they wouldn't loosen up over time.
I don't know why those specific size widths were chosen for the front and rear, but I did read something somewhere (possibly from Billy Johnson on this forum) some time ago that the slightly lesser tire width in front had something to do with the car's handling dynamics on turns, or something...
It's wise to not do or use anything that would jeopardize your warranty. Since 93 octane is available to you, I would simply use that, from a well-established brand, such as Shell, Gulf, Mobil, etc. as noted previously. It's what I use and do, and never had a problem after nearly 8,100 miles.
I...
Ordered the latest (NA 2 21) map update on a USB Drive for $40 from Ford and installed it. Took approximately 1 1/2 hours to finish during a nice drive. Made sure not to remove the USB Drive or turn the car off until the message "INSTALLATION COMPLETE. - You may now remove this update....."...
I have my oil & filter changed according to the Oil-Life Monitor, which for me has been once every 12 months, with mileage of 3,502 since my last oil change, using Amsoil Signature 5W-50 and a FL-2087 oil filter. Emptied 50ml (1/4 cup) of oil from passenger side FP oil/air catch can, driver side...
@Seb, another Mustang6G forum member previously had noted "FordPartsGiant.com" as on-line source of products/supplies which I had bookmarked for reference. I checked their listing for valve caps, and they show a plastic type and a metal type. The metal type is shown as manufacturer part #...
Mike, I must say those are some bee-you-ti-full wheels! I probably won't change my stock wheels, but if I do, I'm keeping those in mind as replacements.
By the way, @EFI is right. I changed out my stock lug nuts for a set of black Gorilla brand lugnuts w/ one locking nut per wheel, and am...
As a longtime Escort user, going back to its original model in the 1970s, this past May I went "all in" to upgrade my radar detector from a cordless Escort Solo S4 to an Escort Redline 360c, along with a 2 year extended warranty, and a 3 year Defender Database subscription that I use in...
From what some others have posted here that I have read, Michelin PS4S tires size 295/35-19 will fit your stock wheels front and rear. Unfortunately Michelin doesn't make their PS4S tires in a 305/35-19 size per their website, but if you want a max performance category Michelin summer tire in a...
Just returned home the end of May after driving south to the Atlanta, Georgia area and back north, approximately 1,850 miles round trip, to attend a wedding. Got to 120mph on one clear stretch of road; loved to hear that Voodoo sing! Just finished cleaning it up again.
Some observations I noted...
Congrats, George! I wish I had known about this event so I could have attended, as I'm not far from there. How did you find out about it? Is it only held in once per year every May, or more often, and if so, when? Any info via PM would be appreciated, and/or I'll contact Medford directly -...
@Angrey, if none of the other suggestions meet your needs, Lowe's sells a Craftsman 3 piece (17/19/21 mm), deep well, 6 point, 1/2 inch drive socket set for $27.00, advertised as non-marring to wheels. It's Item # 1916383, Model # CMMT98282. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I...
