Anyone with Barton or MGW experience this?

Gear nibble is a perfect way to describe this. I have been skipping third and going straight to fourth to avoid it. Once the car warms up I have no issues. Call it a quick of the Trans but that's my fix for the time being. For me second and third have some sort of gear nibble until the trans warms up when shifting. While I will eventually swap fluids its nothing major at this time. I've put in a white line transmission mount, a shifter energy suspension bushing, also removed the clutch helper spring, while these help reduce the nibble its still there but only until its warmed up.
Was just told today I can expect to not have my car till the middle of June. Was informed parts would hit state side sometime around the 1st, and then the process of parts or trans being shipped to dealer - then installation...
Needless to say, Time to turn into the sqweeky wheel. 100% unacceptable.
Oh - It's now week 2 officially, I'm just getting my loaner..
I haven't been given a 100% definitive answer of yes, I'd like to say yes - I hope so..Hey at least they are covering it right.
Barton and no clutch spring. 3K miles including track time. Mine has no issues so far, but Barton Shifter made a huge difference with multiple pilots. Factory shifter is 80% of the problem.Anyone with Barton or MGW experience this?
Thats good to hear.Barton and no clutch spring. 3K miles including track time. Mine has no issues so far, but Barton Shifter made a huge difference with multiple pilots. Factory shifter is 80% of the problem.
Thanks, And thanks again for the positive words - I hope everything went well for you and the car is great, and that the dealer isn't bitter towards you - That's one of my biggest worries with pushing it this far - But, What has to be done, has to be done... I feel the answers given are unacceptable, especially the timeline..Sorry to hear it's come to that. In my case, Ford said no transmissions available and availability unknown, then I was told 6 weeks. That's what triggered my Auto Line complaint on a Friday.
After the next weekend, Ford said they would send a transmission and it would take up to 2 weeks. At that point, my dealer offered to swap in a transmission from another GT they had on their lot. I followed up with my dealer and they said Ford did send the transmission, it took about a week for the dealer to receive, IIRC.
No one could explain Ford's reluctance to send a transmission. Hope your complaint results in some action and results for you. Quickly!
