i have a 2020 GT, I had the 2nd and 3rd lock out with the stock shifter and that went away with the MGW. My current issue at high rpm sometimes 2nd grinds, clutch is all the way depressed and only on a upshift. you can downshift from 3rd to 2nd no problem. Normal shifting is perfectly fine, though one thing I have noticed is a slight whine in 2nd when it's cold. I can't remember if it's always done that, but for sure after the shifter install i'm guessing because its trans mounted and transfers the sound better. I'm thinking about trying the Motul fluid, but i'm not sure if that will fix it or not. Anyone had any luck with dealership warranty having an aftermarket shifter?

It's the stock clutch.

It's the stock clutch.
That's an issue with these cars? great..

That would make sense the first time it did it was after several miles of just normal driving. Today it wouldn't have been hot yet, i wouldn't think. But it would make sense. I've noticed the clutch is pretty touchey at times, if it's been out in the rain all day or night especially a cold night, it's like an on/off switch for a few miles.

Issue is relative. The main cause of MT82 issues after about 2012 is primarily because of the stock clutch. The pressure plate isn't rigid enough and thus doesn't release the clutch as fast as it should. There are other internal improvements to be made (the D4 is better here minus the early fragile forks).

That seems like a clutch issue to me. Sounds like the clutch doesn't always disengage completely when the pedal is down.
