What’s up everybody.
I recently got a McLeod Rst twin disk clutch installed on my car. I got a new flywheel , bolts , clutch line etc. The clutch feels like stock and I was really enjoying it. Recently I noticed that shifting from 2nd to 3rd had a low grind or screech sound. This would only happen when shifting above 4k rpms. I mentioned this to the shop mechanic and he said that it is normal because its a twin disk clutch. Is this true ?
Also, a couple of days ago I had a horrible sound come from 3rd gear. I was approaching a red light so I put my car in neutral while going down hill. The light quickly turned green and I tried putting it into 3rd gear as I was going about 35-40 mph. This is where a huge grinding and shaking sound came from. The car wouldn’t go into third gear when rolling and from neutral. I tried it a couple times and it does the same thing. Its really weird because if I rev match while going into 3rd its no problem. Any help ?Thanks in advance. I also have a video of the sound but I wouldn’t know how to post it.

My guess is the clutch doesn't disengage completely.
The "normal because it's a twin disc clutch" thing is bullshit. It's anything but normal, and the number of discs has nothing to do with it.

Join the club of McLeod clutch owners who have problems on these cars after install. I suppose it could just be that your third gear synchro has left the chat, but the timing is rather suspicious.
