If your tracking or looking for exclusivity, the R is an obvious choice. If your a daily or just want a very nice car, the standard 350 works a bit better IMHO. Ive had both.

Biggest difference being realized in fractions of a second on the track.

Lol - talk about taking something out of context. People simply always believe what they want to believe.

I would NOT want the R front splitter on the street.
Have you ever had it? My first R, I installed the standard 350 splitter because I was worried about it. I eventually put the R splitter on and yes, you have to be careful with both but I didn't think the R was much different. On my 20R, I use it on the street with no issues. Anywhere I wouldn't drive my R, I also wouldn't drive a Mustang GT, either.

I agree. Even the regular GT350 splitter hit things more often than I would have preferred. My 2017 GT is lowered on a FP track handling kit with similar wheel rates, but almost never scrapes. Of course you give up some aero performance for having a setup that rarely scrapes, but I'm not seeking any trophies and my driving talent wouldn't support an effort in that direction anyway.

I have a lot of experience with splitters and the R splitter would not even allow me to get in/out of my garage without massive scrapping.

Ive had both cars and there is not a lot of difference but there is some. The R makes you think twice about approach angle

Areas of the country differ.. Having an R with it's lower height, lower profile tires and R splitter, I don't have many problems. Do I have to pay attention? yes. I just don't agree when someone makes it sound impossible or horribly inconvenient.

I had the ford performance springs on my R for a bit. I had more issue’s with the belly side then the actual splitter. I’ve always had lowered cars so its pretty much second nature to be aware of that. I think some just have a more difficult time keeping that awareness up when deiving cars like these at times. Especially for those that may daily something you don’t have to think twice about what your doing.
