True but its not like there is going to be some spec racing class for these any time soon, for your average track day hero the main limiting factor will be the skill of the driver.

And 1.5-2 seconds can easily be made up switching from aggressive street tires to R-comps or near R-comps like the SC2s.

True as well. A typical HPDE session, no matter what run group but especially if you're in novice, means you will be lucky to get more than 2 full continuous clean laps without hitting any track traffic.

And eventually you will... so that 3sec advantage you built on those 2 fast laps will be negated once you catch up to slower peeps and then get antsy for that pointby. ;)
