Putting in some work the past couple of days with @knightvision on the mesh grille. Successfully cut out the plastic in the grille, positioned the grille on the mesh, traced and cut out. Also test fitted them on the bumper to get a glimpse of them and make sure they fit okay. They will be dropped off for Matte Black powder coat tomorrow. Hopefully will get them back sometime next week.

Zip tieing the grille to the mesh to trace a template out.

Once we cut it out, we test fitted them to the grilles.

Annnd, test fit on the bumper.

Also have an MMD Roof Spoiler on the way from @AMAlexLazarus for a great deal!
Would you mind sharing where you got this mesh from? I think it looks the nicest of all the ones I have seen out there. Looks similar to the racemesh gothic grilles. I already have the grille delete, but got over the look of it. I put stock grilles back in for now until I can find a remedy. Your ride is coming along nicely. Very tastefully done and unique. Can't wait to see what is next!

Yes sir, the mesh is called SWAT (Super Wide And Thick) and I got it from http://www.customcargrills.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Woven_XXL_Flat . I've had a couple people say this is the exact mesh Racemesh uses for their grille. Thanks man! :headbang:

Thanks Mike! I originally put it there for shits, but I ended up really liking it there.

Was one sheet of 12"x48" good enough or did it require more?
The 12" x 48" was plenty. You won't have really any usable leftovers, but it will be plenty.

Finished up the grille project today! Also was able to throw on the powder coated Brembos as well. I have the rears ready to go on, but they are not on in the pictures. Definitely going to get some better pics sometime this week when the weather clears up.

Overall, the grille project with knightvision was a huge success. It wasn't overly difficult to do, and turned out killer. I drove her today for the first time in months and felt great! A lot of head turning too, lol!

We used zip ties to hold the mesh in place on the OEM grille while we use Goop All-Purpose to adhere it.

We waited 24 hours for the Goop to dry and cure. Once we snipped the zip ties off, the mesh was stuck rock solid to the OEM grille. The Goop really did it's job here.

Now get a Roush black wing and paint that roof spoiler black to match the darker front splitter.

Thanks Jeff! Yeah I'm going to try and get the Roush spoiler on Monday or Tuesday this week. The roof spoiler will be getting wrapped this week as well.
