Roof panel in place! Took a bit of trimming to fit but we’re happy with results. Tack welded at four corners and temporary screws. Next step is spot welding tomorrow. So much nicer than a rusty oil canning roof! Hope all have a Happy and healthy New Years!

Nice progress on the 68!!

The grandson’s 1st Mustang is very cool too. I’ve seen plenty of the pedal car varieties but haven’t ever seen a walker version.

Thanks. I’m an engineer for over 40 years and also amazed that these parts were designed by hand on drafting boards! I started on the boards in 1978 and progressed to 2D cad and eventually 3D cad. We take so much for granted in the development of these cars.

Roof is soldered in. Used Eastwood non lead solder. We’re happy so far. Not bad for first leading for my son.

stang is off to bead blaster. Should be back in a week and then body work starts. Most of the metal is new so hoping minimal body work will be needed. We just received the wheels!
