That is perhaps the most analytically analysis of an upgrade I have ever read.Based on what I paid for my 2018, and assuming $415.00 RWHP on good 93 octane, I paid $86.00 per HP.
This FRPP upgrade is $63.00 per HP, not a bad deal overall, especially with a 40+ ft. lbs. of torque improvement at 2K and 20 HP on top. You'll feel the low end torque hit.
While the analytics are sound, in that case compare an e85 tune with device ($579ish) worth at least 40whp that comes out to <$15 / hp. Just food for thought when considering options.Based on what I paid for my 2018, and assuming $415.00 RWHP on good 93 octane, I paid $86.00 per HP.

Mine was $450 with 3 tunes (including E85). ;).While the analytics are sound, in that case compare an e85 tune with device ($579ish) worth at least 40whp that comes out to <$15 / hp. Just food for thought when considering options.
My break down was conservative admittedlyMine was $450 with 3 tunes (including E85). ;).
Agreed. Amazing that people cannot sort out a custom tuned car can be put back to stock with a few key cycles. Hard to imagine...My break down was conservative admittedly
The value can potentially be even greater as seen here...
The Coyote2 (aka GT350) TB circuitry is analog and the one for the Coyote 3 is digital. Or something like that. The odd bit for me in this is that its now official that the 87mm GT350 TB is NOT the 87mm TB on the BULLITT. They are separate Ford Performance parts.
Any dealership or ASE certified mechanic can install if that's the route you're going to go.so.. how does one get this installed exactly? can any ford dealer do it? should i look for a dealer that specializes in Ford Performance? is there such a thing?
thanks!
