I don't like the fact that there's a cheesy hack in the engine cover during final installation....can this be avoided?

If you purchased say only the TB and adapter and your choice of CAI would an aftermarket tuner like Lund or Livernois be able to tune for it? Could they net better results with basicly the same parts?

I actually asked PBD this very question this past Friday and the response I got was that the larger throttle body and adapter would not help.

Wonder why Ford thru it in? Fluff the price? Or maybe getting rid of all the parts bin bullet TB's since their done after 2020? I wondered why Ford chose to include the TB and adapter but other companys like Steeda and Roush chose not to include them....just CAI and tunes.....

I have read some tuners don’t like trying to tune the larger throttle bodies... so not sure if that is what is going on or not... i also wonder if Ford used the throttle body so that it would fit the Bullitt CAI. Maybe cheaper to use the adapter instead of trying to change the CAI. My assumption is that the Bullitt CAI does not fit the standard gt throttle body. Of course this is just some random thoughts/guesses.

Maybe someone will chime in that knows more.

I'm also very curious on this and may wait to buy this until I see these results. I would hope for the price, and the parts that are included, it would drop at least 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 mile and hopefully a little more?

I know nothing beats a E85 tune, but I dont have E85 near me at all, so thats not really a option for me and Im sure many others as well.

Ya E85 isn't an option where I live at all. My only option would be 93/91 tune. I'd like to see Roush , Steeda and this one compared.

For many of us that have no E85, the constant "get an E85 tune" comments get pretty stale. I think the Mustang crowd is well aware of E85.

Headers are well over $1,000.00 and up, and from all indications adds about 20 hp, plus you still need a tune. Plus it makes your car pretty loud, some find objectionable. You can easily have $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 in header and 91/93 tune. So if you gain 30 rwhp, that's about $83.00 per hp.

Assuming Ford's claims on the upgrade are accurate, if you factor $1,000.00 for the upgrade itself, and an additional $100.00 labor charge for a Ford dealer to download the software, you're out $55.00 per hp, and no added noise.

That 42 ft. pounds of torque at 2K is right where most of us operate in traffic on a daily basis, and would certainly be felt. Plus we get a new improved program for the already awesome A10.

tune with mak cat deletes.
This won't fly in New York with the yearly tailpipe sniff, OBD II hookup. Most tunes I see all state "Won't ship to states requiring EO or CARB certification".

I wonder what the real dyno numbers will be... Hopefully someone gets the chance to dyno their car before and after, with the hood down and posts the results.

This is probably the easiest way around the emissions testing. It's not very difficult or time consuming.

I've even searched for E85 near me and it's a no go here in North Florida. I'm so stuck....can't decide on $1000 Ford power kit , $1000 custom tune and Intake , 2k+ headers and custom tune or just drop $1500 buck and get 4.09 gears. I've already done a AFE drop in filter and carbon trap removal. I don't daily drive and it's not a DD , 19 MT non PP.
