I don't know what yall doing but I've had leather seats for 20 years in Virginia summers.

never burned my legs and I wear fashionable short shorts and do fitness stuff with small shorts during week 🤷🏻‍♂️ I just give it a minute or shift seating position till they cool down which takes a minute or two.

Explain how the leather is a downgrade, please. Just did a track day with my leather Recaros and didn't find anything negative about the experience.
Google and see how many track guys you can find that prefer leather to cloth or alcantara. A harness helps, but cloth breathes better and has more grab. I prefer the cloth Recaro's or better yet real aftermarket Recaros and actual racing seats. We all have preferences.

Not so much about burning my legs, but about the swamp down south that the heat exacerbates. Cooling that shit off is REAL nice this time of year :) Now don't get me started on the third degree burns from my Billetworkz shift knob :) Thankful I have a hoodie to grip it when its that hot :)

I just changed out my shift knob to a wooden one. I went two years with a metal one and that took forever to cool down. the hoodie did nothing )= I am very happy to not have that issue any more.

Yeah honestly i find no difference in my personal swamp whether its leather/cloth/suede etc. if its hot its hot.

True, but having "some" cooling down south is nice :) And yeah, I pay the price for the shift knob. The hoodie helps me keep from burning my hand when its the surface of the sun. Mine has sat outside all week while I had an S650 in the garage detailing, polishing and coating. Normally inside, so not a big deal.

Worth it, the S650 turned out AMAZING :)

A lot of 2021-2022 600A cars that were ordered with Recaro's got leather Recaro's instead of cloth due to supply shortages. (Which is actually a downgrade if you track the car)
I’ve seen some of that. If I ordered my config 2 version with the cloth Recaros and got leather, I’d be pissed off. I saw Ford’s answer was “enjoy the upgrade”. Though, it’s funny because the Track Attack cars with the rear seat delete came with leather Recaros, makes you think it was on purpose. There goes the weight savings!

Love me some cactus and avalanche grey.
LOVE Avalanche too. My buddy with his Avalanche GT 350, and my M1 the week after I bought it :)

It was a easy choice for me. Once I saw the HP with FJG I was sold. I had to have it.
This Video sold me.

Then also I wanted a 6 speed and comfort with leather seats cooling/heating etc since its my daily. I am still happy with this choice no "ragrets"

There were a lot less options over here which made configuration fairly straightforward!

From memory it was colour / appearance package, transmission, seats, wheels, that's about it!
HP wasn't available to order and everything else was either standard or not available at all.
Three options were easy:

- Had to be a manual

- Had to have Recaro seats

- Y-spoke wheels as I wasn't keen on the base wheels at the time. On reflection this was a mistake... I was going to replace them with the HP wheels and the gloss metallic finish doesn't match any of the other metallic parts on the car!

We might have had the red caliper option but think that was only available with certain colours - e.g. black, silver and so on.

The colour was the difficult choice to make.
I considered FJG but a visit to the dealer in November 2020 to do initial paperwork/pay deposits etc made me change my mind.
I saw some other cars in similar grey tones out on the lot, and on a miserable rainy UK day (we have quite a few of those) FJG didn't exactly pop in those conditions...
I thought about Silver, Red or Blue, but in the end Twister Orange it was!

I then started the (expensive) process of getting the car as close to the factory US HP spec as I could.
Overall very happy with how things turned out, just need to do more miles!

Very detailed and insightful

All I wanted was the tremec . The base gt did not have it. I waited around for years expecting the 24 to be something great. 1 day after the 24 info was released I went on the hunt for a 23 mach1. All the dealers who had one on the lot were 5k over suggested retail price.
Tried to buy a base 600a with no options zero , and dealer wouldn't go below 60k. White car that I would have been very happy with
Ordered mine from granger at 3 percent under invoice price. 700a with only one option , the upgraded wheels . At the time ordering anything like red calipers could mean no car. I played it safe.
The lower HP cars with 30 series tires won't clear the curb in front of my garage. Didn't even consider it.
Drove away for 55k without taxes.

The Mach 1 Premium came standard with everything I would have optioned on a GT Premium PLUS the Tremec, which was a big part of what sold me. I did want the Premium trim (700A) to get some things, such as heated/cooled seats and position memory.

I love bold colors (and really, really wish more people did, with or without sports cars), so Grabber Yellow was an obvious choice. I didn't like the standard wheels much, but loved the painted aluminum wheels, so got those.

That's really it. The upgraded wheels and yellow were the only boxes I checked. No desire for HP for various reasons, even though this is an occasional track car. I love my build more every day.

Only picture I have right now shows the full stable (same day my forum avatar pic was taken):
