How did you break in your Mach 1?

Broken in, now for some fun. Just normal fairly conservative driving for the first 1000 miles. Not bad MPG but this was mostly highway on I 65. Day trip to Mecum auction in Indianapolis.

Manual says for thousand miles that’s crazy I’ve always jumped on my new cars after 200 miles , never had a problem

I'm still only at 340 miles...but trying to stay off the highway for too many miles or does it matter?

I'm definitely spirited off the freeway, but I'm trying to shift 5/6/5/6 while i'm on the freeway.

Since the book just says avoid high speeds, heavy braking, towing. I just figured that meant take it a little easy. 1000 miles does seem like a lot.

Really doesn't matter IMHO. Keep in mind that I had an 11.5 hr drive on I 35 from Des Moines, IA back to where I live in TX. I just varied my speed and took care to properly bed the brakes. And then ................ Somewhere in KA, my speedometer magically found itself above 120 mph. I swear, I have no idea of how that happened.
