I'm looking for a few factory FoMoCo oil filters from S550 GT cars, straight from Flat Rock Assembly Plant!

Out of my engineer curious mind I'd like to see the filter elements compared to the Motorcraft version. Ford uses various suppliers for the FoMoCo version based on pricing, availability, and vehicle program selection.

Let me know if you have one laying around from your car - thanks!

The oil filters you're looking for are installed at the Essex Engine plant, and not at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant.

those filters are not sold to the public. The correct filter is the FL-500s for the coyote.

Yes I'm aware, I just meant "as the car rolled off the assembly line" at Flat Rock :like:

You're correct! I'm looking for a used factory filter to inspect filter element compared to the Motorcraft FL-500s

I'd also like to understand what's in the factory-fill engine oil that prevents the infamous barbeque igniter tick and why can't oil companies included it in their additive pack for aftermarket oil?

Would love to hear what you're trying to learn?
Trying to compare filter elements. Mainly just a curiosity

My man!! Any chance you would let it go? I'd cover shipping!

As of 2025, the supplier to Ford for “Motorcraft” oil filters has been Mann+Hummel, they also own Wix and Purolator.

Ford oil filter quality/history/info:

Cheers!
That's the type of info I'm trying to get - thank you!

Great question...not sure I have the answer though.
Small world though, I see you're in Novi, I'm just down the road in Canton!
