Yeah, after having two mustangs in a row with ppf applied I decided to forgo it on the 350.
I just relaxed a bit about the anxiety of rock chips and didn't fully trust it being on there for a lengthy period of time. I am not saying everyone should NOT do it, but for me it was a personal decision. I was just surprised that this happened on his Porsche as he is pretty meticulous about stuff.
I did the same thing on my 350. I not of a fan of ppf. Years past I've seen people have problems with it on their F cars. Everyone told me I was crazy for not doing it.

I love this car, but whatever software/hardware they put in this thing is the most inconsistent and frustrating to use infotainment I've had in my many cars. Anyone ever have the factory head unit *not* be able turn off? I had my phone plugged in for Android Auto, and then unplugged it. Well the head unit turned itself on (still doing this, even after a factory update to the Sync software), and would not turn off no matter how many times I pressed the power button, it'd only cycle through the AM/FM sources. I could change sources and volume, just couldn't turn the thing off. So I pulled over, turn the car off, opened the door (to turn everything completely off), then started the car again, same thing - radio came on by itself and the power button wouldn't turn it off. I just turned the volume all the way down for the rest of the drive home.

Not in a Ford but I had a car (not a Ford) with a similar sounding glitch recently (fog lights would turn on but could not be turned off). Luckily turning off the headlights would kill it since fogs only work with lights on.

Battery disconnected for 5 minutes fixed it in my case.

I had the exact thing happen in my 2018 GT. I did a reset in the menu. You said you already updated it, so not sure how long ago the was. It's worth a shot to just reset it. Good luck. 🤞🙏🏻

Going ham on mods because why not. GT350R front splitter and FP rear seat delete installed. Number of other things going in over the weekend.

Definitely want to see how that splitter sits on your car. The ride height of the 350 will give it a slightly different look than the low low 350R. I see you already did the calipers too. Painted them or a new OEM red set?

Drove my buddy’s ‘20 GT350 to work today; he’s deployed, so caring for his car.

And goodness, the factory shifter sucks, lol. Guess I’m spoiled from 2 years of having an MGW on my ‘20 GT350.

Consider this a PSA: you need an MGW shifter.
Weird… I love the factory shifter action. I can bang gears and it feels tight.
But your comment makes me want to try and MGW…
How many miles on your friends car? Mine has only 3k and is tight.

Looking good. Do you still have the 2016 R? If so, you REALLY don’t like those rear seats! 😉
Can you tell me where you got that front lic plate holder?

Got the wheels off and cleaned today, and applied Griots 3-in-1 ceramic to them. They definitely felt a bit more slick but we will see if that's just wishful thinking. The barrels are starting to look a little beat up for sure.

Also replaced the license plate frame, no longer advertising for the dealer! The Ford Performance frame is nice as hell, honestly, and came with some cool hardware. I can't use the screws though because the ones that came with the car were wider and seem to have stripped out the holes. Not sure how to fix that but for now this is a much better look.

Oh and I got a key chain for my new keyholder 😎

You have good taste, I have the same plate frame and keychain 😉.

For your plate frame, there are license plate kits that have anchors (kinda like wall anchors for bumpers). I used them on mine and was then able to use the hardware that came with the plate frame. You will have to drill out bigger holes in your bumper for the anchors, which some folks don’t like to do
