Alert: Stupid questions incoming.
1. Would running E85 with a plug-and-play module void my Ford warranty?
2. Is the cooling impact enough that I'd need to seriously worry about being able to get oil temps up to the 185'ish zone in cool/cold weather driving?
Sync3 decided to completely forget my Android phone again, this time while I was pumping gas. And this time, no amount of resetting the phone or the car will cause it to recognize.
Between this and the defaulting to AM radio if I choose *not* to plug in a device, I'm absolutely fed up with...
Nope! I might have cycled through it a few times but never stayed in it long enough to feel the damping difference, but that's also good to know. I just always looked at it like "Ah well it's just Sport without the nannies, I'm not a hero and I'm not on a track so meh".
Welp, I learned something today. Did not know that Track Mode did anything above Sport besides disabling safety nannies. Does anyone notice a difference in exhaust tone? All I can find is that Track "bypasses" the baffles, but isn't that what Sport Mode is doing all the time except 6th?
My poster cars back in the day (along with the cousin Dodge Stealth).
There's a horribly clapped out 3000GT that runs around here and my inner child cries every time I see it.
Yas! I'm doing my first trackday of the year on my V4R on the 24th of this month, can't wait! Can't hold a candle to any of the tracks in Italy, but beats a Wednesday in the office.
Yeah I find myself saying that nearly every time I walk past it in the garage! Life doesn't get much better for an enthusiast who gets to drive one of these.
Nothing short of superhuman these boys. What % of the grid do you think is riding broken and bruised from offs at previous practice/qualifying/races? And competing at this level. Pretty wild.
And Alex walks away with what, a fractured collarbone and minor damage to a vertebrae? From that carnage?
Airbags, folks. Airbags. Don't ride without them.
I remember maneuvring my 88 Civic DX around parking lots back in the day, and that thing had pizza cutters for front tires (and rears for that matter). I can't imagine what it'd be like to muscle around a pair of 305's unassisted.
To me, a pure analog car can perform its basic functions...
$92.80 @ $6.01 /gallon at a Costco(!) near me in Glenview, IL. Did I still burn half a gallon flooring it out of the parking lot afterwards? Yes, yes I did.
I used to get the "drive mode not available" error once in a while but not since I swapped the battery.
I'll need to get it on a lift one of these days. The way the suspension feels during heave is a lot like when I picked up my new-to-me S2000 back in the day and found out that the previous...
Thanks for the data points. Over the past few weeks as the weather has gotten better here I've found myself really focusing on this issue more and more, so lots of low speed and highway speed stuff over the same roads, with a few spots in particular. Seat-of-the-pants observations show no...
