The Diono 3Rs fit great, the Camaro has an even smaller back seat and they still work nicely, you're right though actually installing them is a contortion exercise
If I didn't come across this R when I did, I 100% would've ended up with a ZL1 1LE. Nice choice.

They didn't from the factory, but Ford made a rear seat kit to essentially re-install them, there are a few out there that have this in place, but it's very hard to find.
I've got a complete 2016 R rear seat kit from Ford. PO had it installed. I bought the car through my broker, and the PO found me. I ended up buying his back seat delete kit (the OEM one) and packing up the Ford rear seat kit and storing it in my basement. These are unobtainium, but for the right $$$, I could let it go. Full seats (black with red R trim), all mounting brackets, bolts, seat belts and rear deck. I think his kids probably sat back there once or twice.

I sold mine 7 years ago but finally got my dream car 2 months ago and slapped some rims on her
Nice, wheels look killer!

Bought mine last August after selling the 2017 GT350 in Oct. 2024. Came with the LS wheels which will stay put, at least for now...

I might back into another 350, I just sold my 911 C4S back to the dealer after Porsche would not cover the known windshield delimitation problem, under the CPO. They wanted 4K or so to replace it. So carless right now and debating the DH new, versus a 19 GT350. Handling pack DH is 74k.....with a few other options, I found a nice 2019 GT350 for 63k......full warranty on the new DH versus buying one on the 350. The 19's seem to do better than other years in terms of oil consumption. The DH comes with the track Trofeo tires, I don't want them for the street, so I'd have to get the PS4's. That's another 1800 or so. Sure the AC compressor can go out in the 350, my first one had two of them replaced.

IMO - GT350
Long version:
I had my name on the list for a DH for a while. When it finally came up I decided to not do it. For me, I wanted the blue interior, but by the time my name came up I had gotten over the Ember Blue color. Just felt too over price, since the best you could do at the time was MSRP. Drove a bunch of GTs, PP and non-PP and stick and auto. Was going to go GT PP auto, for some reason the stick wasn’t doing it for me. And GTs could be gotten at Invoice pricing. GT was close enough to the DH for me; because I don’t plan to track it, so the extra cooling stuff was not needed (nor the forged engine parts). Didn’t do the GT, because ‘25 order banks closed the day I was finally going to order and I did not like the ‘26 de-contenting and price changes. And I still didn’t like the dash; has bugged me since they first showed and still does. So I paused and eventually started a search for GT350. After 4 months of searching, got one. Never drove one until it came just before Thanksgiving. Only two good weather days to drive it. INSTANTLY knew it was a much better choice. I couldn’t stop smiling. Barely got close to that feeling driving all the new GTs. The 350’s double hump dash, Tremec’s feel, the way the power is put down; all great. And even with the GT at invoice pricing, the GT350 is cheaper; even after paying to have it shipped and even if I end up adding a Ford ESP plan. Now I did find a one at a good price, but even if the GT350 cost more, I’d still be happier. It has the Shelby name and the unique front fender look. DH doesn’t do the same for me. Hope that helps you.

Yes. I’ve had two of them before and the 18 had the motor replaced, the rear cylinder block plate done and AC issues. So it had to go, later on I got a 17 used with 45k miles on it, ran great and no issues, did not burn any oil. AC was fine. But yes, I can’t stand that iPad dash look. I’ve got a good lead on a 2020 350 with only 11k miles on it with tech pack and old man seats. Soon as it’s ready to look at it’s probably coming home with me. It’s got square winter tires setup on it right now, which will be fine till April then I’ll get a set of PS4’s.

I added the matching backseat to my 17R. Ping me in 6 more years when warranty is up and it’s yours ;)
