  1. Guys, how important is the “Shelby” name to the enjoyment of your car?

I simply call my 2017 "the GT350" since it was built by Ford. I call my 1966 "the Shelby" because it was built by Shelby American.
  2. Best way to Jack up S550

I did the same for exactly the same reasons. Don't feel as comfortable crawling under a car on jack stands as when I was younger....
  3. What do y’all do for a living?

Retired cancer researcher. Now mostly cars and guitars.
  4. Gear lever pops out of first on acceleration

Happened 3-4 times with my 2017, mostly when it was new, nothing unusual. This shifter can "trick" you into thinking it's all the way in 1st when it's not. I just adapted by always shoving it firmly into 1st gear, then removing my hand from the shift knob before letting the clutch out to prevent...
  5. Not sure what I think about this?? Mid engine Mustang?

Very true, but a Mustang by definition is also not an electric SUV, and look what happened there...
  6. 600 Mile CFTP 2022 For Sale at Western WA Dealer

In case anyone is interested... Saw this today at Bickford Ford, Snohomish, WA, while picking up a part for my GT350. Sales person said ~$109K and they also had a second GT500 (non-CFTP) with 8700 miles for ~$91K. Believe both are now listed on their website.
  7. What did you do to your GT350 today?

    Another fun drive with the Washington Shelby Club (WASAAC). 1-Cobra replica, 2-66 GT350's, 2-68 GT350's, 1-69 GT350, 1-2017 GT350, 1-2021 Mach 1.
  8. Why is the Shelby Super Snake so expensive?

It would be interesting to know how much involvement SAI had in developing the current GT350, I would suspect minimal at best. Guess I'm just an old school purist, as far as I'm concerned SAI's involvement with the GT350 and GT500 ended during the 1967 model year when Ford took over production.
  9. Why is the Shelby Super Snake so expensive?

Well, the current GT350 has nothing to do with Shelby American...
  10. Confused about aftermarket lug nuts

^^ This. I bought the Gorilla 61148CX for my 2017 several years ago from CJ Pony Parts but it looks like they don't stock them anymore. Summit carries them, https://www.summitracing.com/parts/gor-61148cx, and also saw some on ebay.

  13. 2016 GT350 R Infestation!

Consider yourself lucky if all you found was a nest. Little bastards chewed up a bunch of wiring harness and vacuum line in my wife's Cayenne causing over $20K damage. And they did it all in one night.
  14. Which Car(s) do you regret getting rid off

My first Mustang. 1965 Fastback, daily driver 1982-1987. Very early FB built 9/64 at San Jose, had several 64.5 features. Original C-code that had been "HiPo-ized". But, got rid of it for a good reason, bought a 66 GT350 which I still have today.

  16. New Shelby Owner needing a bit of help

Who did you talk with at Ford about the chassis plate? If you haven't already call Ford Performance directly at: 1-800-367-3788, hopefully they can match your chassis number with the VIN. They were able to get me a new Owner's Supplement package when the dealer "lost" the original. Good luck!
  17. Carvana’s Killing It Haha

Interesting. Just plugged in my 2017 with 5,600 miles and no issues, they offered $44,546 to buy it, $51,092 for trade-in.
