Pretty much spent all weekend at Sonoma Raceway. Driving all day saturday and Sunday just BS'ing with friends. Actually I did that all weekend :cwl:

It was a SUPER fun weekend but several cars didn't make it. The big lesson is to take safety seriously. Drive within your limits and have the proper gear.

True. My friend ended up selling his Viper because it was too hard on tires.

What Snakebyte said and you may consider using 3M adhesion promoter. Expensive, but works great.
Very expensive. Especially when you consider that its active ingredient, as shown on its packaging, is isopropyl alcohol, which you can buy for a couple of bucks per pint...make your own choice.

Finally installed my MGW shifter… Standard shifter, standard height …looking for as close to stock look as possible.

Did you go with the body or trans mount? I went with the trans mount on my Barton shifter and things are definitely a bit more noisy, but the shifts are fantastic now!

MGW’s are only transmission mounted… I haven’t had a chance to drive it yet because I’m doing a bunch of other stuff so the car is still on blocks… I’m interested to see how much increased noise I have. My stock shifter was pretty noisy in a couple of gears… Might’ve been a problem with the factory install, I don’t know.

I haven't noticed any additional noise on my MGW. I've had it installed for at least two years.

Same here; don't notice any increased noise. There is more felt vibration thru the shifter, but minor and not objectionable to me.

I bought my Mustang a stable-mate... I know horses don't like snakes but hopefully they get along :)

Very nice I’ve always wanted one. I took a friend of mines down the strip when I was in my SRT club in Chicago. The torque is ridiculous. As said above it’s a beast.

I was kind of up in the air about whether I'd keep the Mustang, but the experience driving them is so different that I'm pretty sure I'll keep both.

The mustang is super quick and agile, but can be a nice quiet cruiser as well.

The viper is stupid fast (I'm sure it's got a hotter cam, and it has a full belanger system with headers) but it's just so raw and vicious!

Got the stop the hop kit (bushing inserts and irs braces) installed as well as the FP toe link bearing. Rear of the car is rock solid now and the car finally turns in sharply with authority without having to wait for the rear to catch up.

I paid Trent @ Sonoma Raceway to do it. Great guy.

NVH increase is noticed on the highway, more resonant sounds when you hit bumps etc. Turn the radio up...

Holy.. I had no idea they even made those in convertible form.. hows the rigidity feel overall especially with all that torque?
