Was feel a bad pulse in my front brakes from during hard braking (over 80+) but not the traditional squeak.

I took a look and they original to the car 19 GT with 45k (20k since running the whipple).

I noticed that the wear indicator was bent all the way back, not sure if that was by accident or intentional by the previous owner. (Got the car certified preowned more than 3 years ago).

In any case is time to change it all based on these images?

That pad looks fine other than the weird wear mark at the bottom. If you're getting a vibration in the pedal, your rotors are likely warped.

I agree with above. There is still some meat on those pads. If you have vibration, I would definitely do pads and rotors...

If you’re feeling extra cheap just clean and grease everything and slap it together. Might have something sticking because of corrosion or other contamination.

I dont like the wear on the inside esge of the pad, but it looks roughly like you’re at about 50% of the pad material thickness, maybe 40%. Idk whats going on with them being rough looking on that inside stripe.

Theres no need to get every last mile out of the pads. Ita not critical you change them immediately but I also wouldnt feel bad about changing them out real soon. What does the rotor look like?

It looks like there is a band of rust on the rotor, near the inner edge, based on the wear marks on that pad. This would be on the back side of the rotor, so not visible from the outside. That would cause the exact issue you are describing.

I would change em. You can good pads for $70. Less than an oil change

Thank you all for the responses, I think I will just go ahead and replace both the pads and rotors.

Just noting that the strange feeling is only on the passenger side front. So was not sure if it was a seized piston in the caliper, but they seem to flex in and out ok.

I am going to remove the driver side as well to see if there is a noticeable difference.

Will post up the images of both rotors as well, when I get the other side up later this evening.

When you do get new rotors make sure to get the redesigned versions that have the cooling vanes open toward the inside of the rotor. The ones on your car are vented toward the outside or wheel side of the rotor.

don’t want to wait that long
Those are maybe 4 days of intensive driving old)))

My point is, if you fix the underlying issue with brake system, you can still drive what you have. If you swich to new rotors, then it's a good idea to get new pads as well.

Good direction to take. I definitely recommend ceramic pads. I've learned the hard way that ceramic pads are well worth the price difference. I've had fewer rotor issues, and I've had far less squealing brake noise. Oh yes...and less brake dust.

On a side note...I've never had good results having rotors turned/resurfaced. When there is pulsating, the rotors are either warped or have varied hardness spots from cheap pads, and/or hard braking followed stationary time (like sitting at a prolonged traffic light), and not letting the pads/rotors evenly cool. If the pulsating is from a hardened spot, you will be revisiting the rotor resurfacing again sooner rather than later.

45K. Nice to see that you’re driving it.
My 19 has almost 50 K. I had it inspected a couple weeks ago and the mechanic told me my brake pads were at eight and nine. He said they were 12 when new.
Let us know if you measure your old ones and, what you read.

I picked up some new ceramic pads and rotors to be sure.

Here some pics of both the driver side on the bottom and passenger side on the
top. Maybe they were not that bad but the passenger side inner rotor may the culprits.
