Hello, I've been having issues with my 2015 GT's front brakes squealing really loudly but only at times and it's become very annoying. I am planning on resurfacing the rotors and getting new brake pads but the Ford dealership hasn't had brake pads in stock for the last few times I've called. Any suggestions on where I could get brake pads similar to OEM that won't squeal?

More info on current pads/rotors needed. How long have these guys lived together? Are they OEM - both? And how's the remaining pad thickness? Creating more dust? Does the squeeking go away after the rotors and all heat up?

Do they squeak only with light brake pressure or moderate to heavy braking? And at what speeds?

I know. I'm just curious but sometimes there's an answer that comes

The rotors are OEM, the brake pads are not OEM not sure what brand, the previous owner told me he changed them because they were almost out, and then again because they began to squeal, but it didn't go away. It only squeals at times but it's usually after they've already heated up and with light braking. Not always though and it can come at random times and be very loud. My thought is that the rotors are glazed which is why I plan to get them resurfaced.

With that information it sounds like easiest, most practical would be to check run out and resurface rotors if possible or replace but certainly try again for OEM pads. I've used Hawk in race compounds but check their street or street/performance pads. I do like the suggestion of Motorcaft and definitely Raybestos and do a little homework on which pad. Lastly StopTech is another source worth considering. There's enough here I know. But now it's just matching up pads that cater to your kind of driving. Sorry I couldn't be more specific but I'm sharing the results of my own research however it was focused more towards high performance and track duty stuff. One thing I've learned i s that the OEM are really optimal for most apps. So I see where your intentions lie so you are on point with an OEM solution.

Yeah i'm just going to order the motorcraft ones and get the rotors resurfaced, I'm not too hard on the car, just use it for daily driving and the noise gets annoying at times. Thanks a lot for the help I really appreciate it!
