I skipped three pages of people telling you what the fuck?! (Probably) just to get to the point. If you have to ask which car gets more respect you won't get respect with either. You have to know how a car works and how to handle it before before anyone might respect you driving it. But go ahead and get an auto supra. It will be easier for you to handle.

It’s actually no joke. I go to the San Clemente cars and coffee often which is a huge gathering. I see 19-year-olds getting out of McLarens and Ferraris all the time. I don’t know where the money comes from.

Used to go to the car show on Saturdays at the outlet mall in San Clemente when I lived in Capistrano Beach. Super cars galore!!!!

I hate to ask this question. I currently own a 5.0 right now and I am wondering if I should buy the gt350 or the Supra. I’m not well versed with cars as much, for all I know is that whatever goes faster is what appeals to me but something that’s definitely hard for me to make up my mind about is ā€œdo I want a gt350 or a Supra?ā€. There’s a couple of things I need help with. For one, is the gt350 faster than the Supra?, for two, is the gt350 more reliable than the supra, for three, which vehicle definitely has more respect with a better reputation within the car community, for fourth, does the gt350 have an equal amount of tuning potential to be neck to neck with the Supra if not better. Those are my questions, I’m 19, I work in sales and my jobs are about 12-16 miles out from my house, I mainly work 5 days a week but I always love to treat myself to new things and this next new thing is a new car. I need help, please guide me.
Tons of unhelpful sarcastic stupid comments in this thread. Just ignore them. That said, I own a ā€˜22 Supra 3.0, 2021 ZL1, and used to own a 2018 Mustang GT premium with perf pack, A10, and MagneRide. I have a good friend with a GT350.

That said, the ZL1 is the best car by a mile between all of them. Performance, handling, styling (my opinion), and the intangibles. It has a refined but raw quality to it that is soul stirring for me.

Ok, the Supra: it’s a great car. Has the best quality interior of them all. The touch points in the ZL1 are as good as the Supra since the ZL1 has a lot of alcantara. But the secondary surfaces in the Supra are better, because it’s a BMW interior. The GT350 feels the lowest quality of the 4, since my GT was a premium.

The Supra inline 6 is a good strong engine; but it doesn’t sound very good (I’m a V8 guy) and it isn’t soul stirring or thrilling to listen to. The others all sound better. It has good torque and pull at lower speeds. It can’t hold a candle to the ZL1’s power above 60 mph though. It’s more inline with the GT with A10 and the GT350.

I think the Supra gets way more attention than the GT and GT350 to average people—I get a lot of looks/stares driving around in the Supra. Car meets have their share of Shelby fans and the GT350 gets respect at those, similar to the Supra. But the Supra gets more photos and random compliments overall.

The Supra feels light and super responsive. Almost twitchy. It’s not as smooth as the others. But it is fun, but not as inspiring to me because of the engine sound.

Owning a supra speaks for itself, and nothing to write home about. :cwl:

I doubt you’re going to get an insurance company to write you a policy for a 350 in your name. If they do it’ll cost quite a bit. If it’s in your dad’s name it’s still going to be pricey to add you into his policy. Chances are you will wadd it up into something.

GT350 or MKV Supra 3.0 MT?

The GT350 was a nice little experiment by Ford. An FPC engine with CPC characteristics. It also served as great platform to develop for the S550s as a whole.

That said, the Supra is also a nice little experiment by Toyota. A Toyota shell with a BMW engine. And it is made for awesome performance.

I'd take the Supra 3.0 MT over the GT350 in a heartbeat.
