Update: did a bit more driving today. At oil temps of about 170 and trans fluid temp at 110 I could rip through 1st/2nd without any issues. About an hour later after more driving, oil temps at 220 and trans fluid temp around 140, grinding came back north of 4500 rpms in 2nd. Could this...

Yep, tremec. I just took the car out cold, let the engine oil temperature warm up and wasn’t really seeing the issue….could it just be heat soak with the trans fluid somehow? The grinding was at its worst after already driving around 2-3 hours with mix of highway and city
