Yeah just as you said. Add two gallons of E to whatever level you are at, then top off with 93. I did that just tonight. And a few weeks ago for the track day I had. Car loves it. You can google running e20 and it’s real popular with many other car brands. The Camaro guys can even run e30 on stock cars and get a leaning effect since they are narrow band cars and run in open loop. They are doing the same but also getting a big leaner AFR. And they need it. Those cars are pig rich from the factory.

But remember the next time if you don’t run it all out and only run pure 93 you need to account for having some e20 left in the tank. Use the ecal app.

Great points. My main gripe with the stock intake is the seal it makes with the hood. The rubber/foam is already deteriorating and I'm not convinced it's making any kind of seal with the hood. The corrugation in the tube also isn't great, but not the biggest issue...
What's the intake air temperature when you are driving? If it's within 5-10 degrees of ambient, I would say that's pretty good.

Ooh I'm already planning on being there for a Speed District event the 20th/ 21st, but I'm down for more! Where can I find more info?

So what are people's thoughts on Lund E85 tune vs Flex Commander vs splashing in some E85 to go from California 91 octane to 94/95 octane? The cooling effect of 20% ethanol is going to be significantly lower than 85%. I guess, if I'm committing to running E85, what route is most popular?

I will definitely keep a closer eye on intake temps at the next track day and will keep my engine running and maybe run the heater between sessions regardless.

GT350 hoods might be a little tougher to find compared to a regular GT
That's why you buy a regular GT hood (or heck even a plain one from an EB or V6) to mutilate while you keep your OEM one clean.

Uuuhhhh...do you know where you're at? Those hoods don't fit a 350.

FWIW -

My engine never ran cooler on E85 over 100 octane. Caveat is that both tunes were optimized for power delivery - so the E85 was making more midrange.

Going to add some unsolicited advice and then I'll shut up. Outside of extremely cold temperatures - this car is going to run in the same temp window pretty consistently. Anything above 65 degrees and you'll be flirting with 265-270+ oils and 225+ CHTs (or higher) - so you'll always be facing the car pulling timing. You can add more cooling - but it won't keep the car cool enough to stop it from pulling timing - only from prematurely wearing the engine or from overheating.

Not sure I would chase this very far outside of venting the hood. The returns won't be super impactful and you can overcome the engine pulling timing with driver mod far more effectively. For reference, I often get my fastest laps at the end of a session near the end of the day. Sure, there's more on the bone early in the morning for the first couple of laps when things are cooler - but outside of highly temperamental time attack machines, driver mod matters more.

I appreciated the advice I actively solicited with this thread!

What kind of driver mods do you suggest? Having the driver do a cool down lap before push laps? This driver already does that. Having the driver do a cool down lap before pitting? My driver does that...

So if I went with an E85 tune, any opposition to Lund?
