What's the intake air temperature when you are driving? If it's within 5-10 degrees of ambient, I would say that's pretty good.Great points. My main gripe with the stock intake is the seal it makes with the hood. The rubber/foam is already deteriorating and I'm not convinced it's making any kind of seal with the hood. The corrugation in the tube also isn't great, but not the biggest issue...
Ooh I'm already planning on being there for a Speed District event the 20th/ 21st, but I'm down for more! Where can I find more info?Come join us with the Cobra club at big Willow October 28 and 29th!
That's why you buy a regular GT hood (or heck even a plain one from an EB or V6) to mutilate while you keep your OEM one clean.GT350 hoods might be a little tougher to find compared to a regular GT

I appreciated the advice I actively solicited with this thread!FWIW -
My engine never ran cooler on E85 over 100 octane. Caveat is that both tunes were optimized for power delivery - so the E85 was making more midrange.
Going to add some unsolicited advice and then I'll shut up. Outside of extremely cold temperatures - this car is going to run in the same temp window pretty consistently. Anything above 65 degrees and you'll be flirting with 265-270+ oils and 225+ CHTs (or higher) - so you'll always be facing the car pulling timing. You can add more cooling - but it won't keep the car cool enough to stop it from pulling timing - only from prematurely wearing the engine or from overheating.
Not sure I would chase this very far outside of venting the hood. The returns won't be super impactful and you can overcome the engine pulling timing with driver mod far more effectively. For reference, I often get my fastest laps at the end of a session near the end of the day. Sure, there's more on the bone early in the morning for the first couple of laps when things are cooler - but outside of highly temperamental time attack machines, driver mod matters more.
Absolutely. Just about anyone else.So if I went with an E85 tune, any opposition to Lund?
That's not a very helpful reply. Could you share some experience and/ or reasons for your statement?Absolutely. Just about anyone else.
