Actually, it is not the bracket it is the marshmallow bushing, and the tunnel mount, of the shifter that's the problem.

Want a shifter that is mounted to the box. Single point of contact, all motion from the shifter & drive train are in sync.

This was a decent in-between but ended up with a transmission mounted braket & shifter, much better.

I have a '21 and installed the FTB trans mount bracket. Yes it fits '18 and up, you can either source the 2 outer mount bolts or modify the existing setup. Either way you lose the bulky nvh bracket. Best hundred bucks i spent on this car. Not spending $600 for a damn shifter. If your worried about increased nvh, go buy an A10.

The trans insert is hit or miss. Definitely stiffens things up nicely but in my case the nvh made it sound like my tranny was going to grenade. I did some research after that and it seems it's fine for most people but in my case it was terrible. It's super cheap though so your not out much trying it.
Anyone pull one of these Steeda brackets off and fancy selling it … ? :like:

It's your car so definitely build it the way you want but did I miss something? Your saying majority consensus and I've only saw one person mention a "smidge" of nvh. Can't recall anyone mentioning nvh from that mod in any previous threads off hand either.
Look up the part on the Steeda site and read all the reviews. Everyone thinks it is worth it but at the moment as I said, I will wait.

@WD Pro, I know you have some Steeda parts that have been anodized in red on your car. Have you seen the Boomba transmission mount in anodized red? Pair one of those with the poly replacement shifter bushing or the Steeda shifter bracket and that would be a good combination.

Yeah I seen those thanks and I do like the look of the Boomba kit, but …

Silly I know, but I’m trying to minimise the brands I put on my car. I’m pretty committed to Ford Performance and Steeda now and I have the J&M rear camber adjusters (cheaper than Steeda and stainless steel).

J&M vertical links with spherical bearings can be bought in anodised red and I’m also thinking of their front camber plates. Their toe links also look good - and they come in red (I’ve even checked the paint code with them to match my custom Steeda stuff … lol)

The Steeda bracket would be nice - anodised red to suit my other stuff and to protect it a bit better against our crappy U.K. environment (the Steeda stuff I have had so far has been bare / non anodised).

That’s why I would be happy with a second hand mount - it’s going to get refinished anyway :like: (and most likely a lot cheaper than our inflated U.K. pricing :frown:).

Not silly at all, lol. I completely understand. In fact, that’s exactly what I’ve done (with the exception of the Boomba mount and a BMR camber arm lockout kit), suspension and drivetrain wise.

Haha! I figured you’d want to coat it to match the other Steeda pieces. Hopefully someone on here has one for sale. I‘d try making a thread for: WTB Steeda shifter support mount and see if you get lucky.

Are you referring to the shifter bracket or the trans insert? Because if your referring to the trans insert your more than welcome to have mine and try it. I'm keeping the shifter bracket though!

Street spec. At first there was a noticeable vibration which eventually faded. Perhaps 50 miles or so. I like it, took some of the slop out. Its not a gamechanger, but its a mod and I like modding!

@Zrussian13, I have the Boomba race spec and I love it. My NVH was nowhere near what I thought it would be given every bushing I havve on the car is the black hard race spec.

When the new driveshaft goes in, I’ll have to reassess, but I hope it remains the same.

gone up again recently, now £99! I’ve not driven my car since getting it so can’t really comment on it other than it’s an easy fit
