I have similar cramped quarters like yours. I had my alignment done by Ford service but I have a feeling the technician did not clock the bushings like I asked him to. I was thinking to make wheel cribs out of 2x4's, but your suggestion should work. Maybe measure the distance from the rim to the fender on the floor and then one in the air, jack the suspension to repeat that measurement and then remove the wheel?
Not only did the Ford tech almost certainly not do that, but he probably Fā€™ed up the alignment tooā€¦ I brought my car in to have JUST the rear aligned and they threw the front out of perfect alignment. Thatā€™s the only thing I canā€™t do in my garage (other than paint) and Iā€™m sorry I had someone else touch my carā€¦

At any rate, yes, measuring as you described will bring an extra level of certainty to the process. Iā€™m not a professional racer, it isnā€™t that big of a difference in my life to stress about it to that level, especially because having the wheel (and maybe rotor and caliper) off makes it a million times easier.

GT500 Cam covers came in. Really want to powder coat them but Iā€™ll leave them as is. At least no more smoke at Summit Point

Today I did the best thing you can do with a Mustang. I drove it.
Shhhhhhh...... how dare you...

On this site, people don't drive S550 Mustangs, they park them in their garages and stare at them like they're 1:18 die-casts sitting on a shelf...

And oh if it rains, please don't let it rain even when the car is in the garage... because that just causes . . . site wide pandemonium.

Hydroplaning is the new meme on FB. Apparently people don't know how to drive 60 mph when it's pouring down rain outside.

Got stripes installed. Matched the pinstripe to my grabber blue stitched interior. Then washed it.

This looks awesome, hoping to do the same with my 22 shadow black gt with the same stitched seats, unfortunately going to have to hold off for a bit due to the car getting ceramic coated, I've been advised not to wrap overtop ceramic but seeing this is convincing me otherwise!

Now, now CJ, ainā€™t nothing wrong with that! As long as you give it proper exercising when you do take it out.

Each to his own you know.

Dove mine to pickup my son from school. Sadly, I had to drive on a newly tar & chip sealed road, gravel being flung everywhere! AHHHHHH... All will be good, I bought it to drive it :)

1. Wut? What smoke? Generic valve cover oil leak?

2. GT500 valve covers kit on GEN2 Coyotes? Is there a reason to make the switch?

1. The past two years on the track at Summit Point, I have been black flagged for smoke out the exhaust. Last year It occured in the last session. No CEL, No high Oil temps and no drop in performance. I was able to drive home and the issue never occured again until last month again at Summit. I realized it occured during the same turns on the track. There was an oil residue on my CAI airbox when I came into the paddock. I drove home again without issues. After doing some research on here I found that it is a common occurance with the oil getting into the driver side PCV. There are a few threads on here regarding it that can explain better than I can. The GT500 covers have better baffling.

2. If you track the car then it will depend on the track you run. IF not, then no need to worry. There is another mustang who had smoke suring the same sequence of turns and straights.
