Replaced cheap looking console panel on my 2016 GT with a new one with leather and red stitching. It’s an easy one to one replacement. Optically definitively a small upgrade.

Drove it to work. Temps in low 40s today and sunny. I’ve been getting it on the road between snow and freezing temps. Haven’t washed it since October.

Subtle, but really nice. I super-like this.

Is that generally where your knee/shin rests? Does look lot better. The middle portion that connects to the tunnel is still plastic (or that rubberized coated), right?
Well thats inspired me to get some materials to recover my own, and the center arm rest.

Really nice job.

Looks awesome! What are the Ford part numbers for those panels?

For those looking at those knee pads, I came across this seller on eBay that makes custom leather covers for the original parts. They are not cheap and you have to glue them over the parts yourself, but no one else makes stuff like this that I have seen.

The wrapped knee bolsters are part of the Premier trim with color accent group which is part of the 401a package. I have them in my California Special. Check with your dealer.

That's exciting. What are your initial thoughts?
Had a bit of logging time tonight. Took off from a dead stop in 2nd with TC off to log a full gear at WOT. It was pretty damn quick. Broke my 20" MT S/S free halfway through 2nd gear. Not used to that because the MT's generally hook.

Shifts at WOT are quick and punchy again even when not in Drag mode. Looking forward to running the latest revision at the strip.

It may just have to do with the app you use to play music, most of them will start playback when an audio source changes.
I cable my Android phone to the car so as to have maps on the big screen. But it always auto-plays my podcast app, even if I want to listen to the radio. I close the app but it plays anyway. It also switches off the car audio system.

How can I gain manual control of the audio source when I cable the phone to the car?

I'm sure those are independent sellers rather than Amazon themselves. eBay was full of offers for similar prices from people who probably bought as many as they could from Amazon and/or Target for $90 just to flip them.

And FWIW, my order had an original estimated delivery by Amazon sometime in March and I received it last Tuesday. Hope yours arrives early.
Just got an update, much like yours, mine was moved up, now it says expected next week, so a month earlier than initial estimates. Amazon scalpers still wanting $240+ and sold out everywhere.
Am really hoping this thing is as great as I think it could be.

Ira, since I have the 400A package on my GT/CS I didn't get all the red stitching areas. We discussed this back in June when I ordered it. It was too late to change my order and I've actually forgotten that I don't have it........ UNTIL YOU REMIND ME :cwl:
Its all good. Happy with what I got but wished Ford offered the full red stitching as an option.

Keep your eye on the interior market place. Even check the mustangecoboost forum. I see premier interior parts regularly posted mainly from the same guy that is reselling and usually at a decent price.

yes right, is where your knee/shin rests, and yes the console is still plastic / it's original, I didn't change it
