In the iPhone settings there is an option called “Allow CarPlay While Locked”. Make sure it’s enabled. Below the link on how to enable it https://stereoupgrade.com/allow-carplay-while-locked/ I also use the USB in the centre console and have a wire hanging out the side that I plug my iPhone...

yes right, is where your knee/shin rests, and yes the console is still plastic / it's original, I didn't change it

Replaced cheap looking console panel on my 2016 GT with a new one with leather and red stitching. It’s an easy one to one replacement. Optically definitively a small upgrade.

I took advantage of the mild weather for a short ride and found a cool place for a nice photo

Finally got my Zl1 tow hook installed. The installation went well without removing the bumper. As I have a honeycomb mesh grill, I decided to install two washers at the cutout. It protects the grill around the hole and looks nice.
