Hi and welcome!
I'm here to learn and share.
Backstory:
I traded my modified 2012 Subaru STi Limited for the 2020 GT Premium.
4/21/21 | 4,100 miles | $42,4k (the budget was $35k.. whoops!)
4/10/21 | 38,138 miles | 540hp/425tq | $22k trade allowance

Colonial Ford Danbury provided an overall great experience with a few minor hiccups.
Why did I ditch the Subie??

Colonial Ford Danbury provided an overall great experience with a few minor hiccups.
- Roof stripe was damaged during the ceramic coating application. (got free trunk stripe kit as well)
- Poorly filled paint clip found on fender at delivery day. Car was sent back and professionally repaired. (got free touchup pen as well)
- Wrong strut tower brace was ordered. (quickly replaced)
- Backup camera needed reprogramming. (no charge)
- Got a call from Colonial Mazda saying that the Subaru had no cat and the Cobb AP went missing.
Why did I ditch the Subie??
- My choice of mods made it unenjoyable to DD.
- Maximum effort required for spirited driving (big turbo usable power range: 4400 - 7100RPM)
- Lost ambition to perform scheduled maintenance. (Asian baby hands required)
- Dealer can't service it (Subaru 30k service sent me home with boost & fuel leak)
- Wife refused to ride in it after IC pipe blew on the interstate.
- Subpair interior and obsolete electronics
- More power please!
S550 Goals:
- Reliable
- Dealer serviceable ...else would have went Odin
- Seasonal DD (<5k miles/yr)
- Little to no esthetic modification
- No increase in exhaust dB ...Roush H-pipe; Foster whine sound tube
- Forced induction install: $10k budget (built not bought)
- Power goal: >600 rwhp
