My 2019 Bullitt, used it 6 days ago went to start it today and screen showed power asleep to save power, battery completely dead, called Ford road service boosted it and ran it 40 minutes (shut the engine off spot) in settings. But 6 days to go dead, have car 1 3/4 years , manufactured August 2019. Wonder if something drained it or battery just junk.

There's been some reports around here the they don't play nice with the battery management systems. I'd do a bit more research before diving into one.
Good suggestion, I’ll do some research on them.

I have had a AGM in mine for over a year now with no issues what so ever. Just make sure if you hook it to a battery tender that it is compatible with a AGM style battery

What if you just want the alternator to charge it like a normal battery? That's where I've heard there's issues. I have a gas-powered car, I don't want to plug it in :giggle:
Supposedly you have to use forscan to change the battery type so smart charger knows how to level it properly, but many have said it works without doing that. But I'm sure it's not optimal.

Honestly batteries suck in general these days.

The battery in my 17 is still the one that was put in at the factory. Maybe I got a good one, or maybe it's because I use a battery tender every winter when I store it, don't know?

On the 07 F150 I once had, the battery was replaced 3 times in the first 2.5 years I owned the truck, all under warranty. The fourth time was just past the 3 year mark so it was out of warranty so I replaced it myself with an optima red top and that was still in the truck when I traded it off 3 years later.

I think my OEM battery lasted 5 years, but I drive it at least once a week, year round (when weather permits). There's no nice way to say it but the factory battery cables suck on these cars. It's like Ford tried to save a buck fifty on the terminals at the battery post.

My 2016 needed a battery just before warranty ended. Traded that car for my 2019, which is now at the 2-year mark. My plan is to take it to the dealer for testing at 35-months. It will likely fail, they will replace it, and then I will go aftermarket when that one fails. (And hopefully when I'm not out in the middle of nowhere.)

EDIT: I just removed my engine and battery covers for upcoming track day and noticed that my 2019 car had its battery replaced less than 3 months from delivery date!

My OEM battery is still going strong after 3.5 years. I have a aftermarket audio system with 2 amps as well luckily no issues so far. There were many instances when the car was sitting unused for few weeks or couple of months at a time and to my surprise car still started up each time.

I still have the OEM battery in my 2015 Focus SE with 75K miles on it...I just probably jinxed it.
