Found 3 broken wires. Fixed them temporary until I get the proper size wires. Trunk operates normally. What wires did you guys use to fix it? How about a loom? Oh yeah rear camera still not working.

Took the seat completely out. About a 1 foot tall access all the way across. Pulled cable opened trunk. The key switch took it apart part of it was worn so I use it without the outside part. It doesn't look as good but it will open the trunk for now until I look at the wires.

Interesting. Are these options greyed out on base model

I fully understand caution, just curious if it will indeed make those options work

The heat shield at least you can rule that out

Wedge a piece of wood in it and take a run just long enough to see

Yes for the mechanical connection, no for the electrical connection.

I am hoping the locksmith would have access to such a tool, I do not.

I have pulled the seat. The problem is it is a convertible and really no full access to the trunk except for something very skinny. I will talk to a lock smith tomorrow to see if they can do it. No disrespect but seats are removed.

Where are they located? The bad part I have to open trunk to get to it. The very same day I was going to check the harness is when trunk would not open. I wonder if lock smith can open it without damage to car?

On my convertible the trunk button on the dash stopped working. I used the key behind the seat cushion, now when I turn it nothing happens. It feels as if it is not turning the cable. How do I get into the trunk now? I do not have fol down seats.
