Your going to be happy with just don't have high expectations it's only a little more power but it's nice to have. I have the 10 speed so it really woke up the transmission.
I agree. The improvements to shifting for the auto trans and the throttle response is more beneficial than HP/torque gains.

Albiet you have to drive agressive to feel the difference, but the low to mid range torque is noticeable. I only paid $950 and installed myself. Based on prior warranty work with my dealer, i see no issues with warranty. Now if i was to do major internal damage to motor, probably issue.

20hp at 7,000 rpm might not be felt, but 20-40Q at 2-4,000 rpm will be noticeable.

Hi GeorgeC, I really have no complaints about my "stock" tune and how the A10 runs. Is this really enough better to get it and have it installed?
I was on the fence because I thought I was happy with the stock tune but I'm glad I made the plunge. As said it's not huge but it makes a noticeable difference. The big change is consistency. Your car won't be bogged down by the conservative timing adjustments the stock tune has to accommodate for lower octane.

The big selling point to me was the ease of it all. I spent my fair share of wrenching, digging around junkyards, finding the best deals on parts, etc. and got burned out. Having a kit that comes with everything I need and could be thrown on in 30 minutes made this very appealing for me. As opposed to a can tune that I'd have to datalog and have follow ups to get dialed in.

But if the money is hard to swing, and it is expensive, then there are plenty of better things to spend that kind of money on. Hell I can throw together a decent midrange gaming PC for the money. So it's really what's worth it for you and what you want out of it.

I'm mainly looking forward to a little extra torque down low, and as a few have reported, an unadvertised bonus is this tune gets rid of or greatly reduces rev hang for us manual guys.

Has anyone successfully installed this kit with the Ford Perf. Oil separator? Levittown Ford website states it "WILL NOT FIT" with the new throttle body. Is this true? Totally bummed, just noticed this. I installed the oil separator a few months ago and was planning on doing this performance upgrade next.
Yes the separator fits just have to take it off the bracket, i drilled a tiny hole on the engine cover and zip tied it although it was pretty stable anyway.

Ok. That's good to know but I will consider modifying or making a new bracket. I will report back in April when I install my kit.

Mine came in today from Levittown Ford, looking forward to installing it. Unfortunately will probably be at least a few weeks if not a month+ until it warms up enough.
Curious How long did shipping take?
I ordered mine last week.

Mine took 4 days until it shipped. Luckily I'm not far from them so once it did ship, I got it next day.

Need some help from those who have already done this or a ford tech who can help. My kit arrived some time ago and i recently got around to getting the car to the dealership and today they installed everything but we are hung up at the procal. Ive registered online and plugged the procal into my laptop to check for updates, however the dealership cant get the procal to put the tune on the car. Every time they try to pull the stock file from the car it says invalid strategy then they will try to tune the car and it says invalid model. They have tried it with my laptop plugged in at the same time but it seems the tuner will not accept both a laptop and a OBD connection at the same time. The car is fairly brand new, 2020 with 2k miles, and no its never been tuned before that was the dealers first question. No other mods on the car at all, stock engine. Dealer couldnt figure it out and put me in a ranger for the time being, they have to call the hotline to figure it out but wondering what was the process for those here who have already done it, perhaps its something small thats being overlooked this dealer has never done the power pack before. Thanks in advance for help.

I read someone else having an issue with a late build 2020. Mine is a 2020 but early build.

Did you get vin correct? Does car still run, if not dealer can load factory tune back in.

These are the procedures i used:

Once you register and download sw to your laptop, you then connect to procal to get it ready. Then take procal only to car. Put battery on charger and download factory tune to procal. Take procal and plug back into laptop and web to upload your factory tune to ford to store in case you may need in future. Then it will allow you to download new tune to procal. Take procal to car and upload new tune to car.

There isn't really anything to overlook. You download the tune on the Procal and upload into the PCM.

Dealer wont start the car until the tune process is complete, and the car is on a tender, and there hasnt been an option for VIN so far.

We cant even get to the process of extracting the stock tune due to invalid strategy message whenever they try and extract.

When i connect the procal to my laptop and open the software theres nothing that can be done, i have the update button but clicking it does nothing, interface says 1 credit available no credits used and the serial and version numbers are all there but theres no registered VINS or anything, and vehicle files is blank.

It smoothed the tranny and it gives a little more power. What I didn't realize when I got it is that your now covered under the ford performance warranty 3 years 36000 miles so I screwed myself over because I bought the extended warranty and now my power train is only covered for 36000 miles. Live and learn. On the other hand if nothing goes on the powertrain in the first 36000 miles then I'm probably safe. The other thing is that they have to prove that there parts the same ones they put on the Bullitt and Mach One caused the problem. Like I said in the beginning if you have great expectations for this tune you may be disappointed. If you want a little more HP and a smother tranny (also when you get on it the tranny shifts more aggressively) you will probably like it. If you wait till your warranty has run out there are better tunes out there for less money. Mostly switching to E85. Good luck with your decision.
