The instructions have you remove the driver’s side wheel and wheel well panel to access the nut. I just pulled mine off instead of doing that.

That statement was a recent addition to the description. Additionally, when the FP CAI/tune kit was released I had asked the FP techline if the separator was compatible with it and was told that it was. Obviously, that was wrong. I also removed the FP oil separator and put the stock hose back on.

Nothing was spliced on mine and all connectors remain connected. There should be enough slack in the cable if you free the fasteners. This is mentioned in steps 24 and 25 of the instructions.
