Update on Long Tube Headers axle back install.
I daily this car and wanted a better, deeper tone and NO DRONE. Also wanted the black tips. Got a couple recommendations for this setup and so far its been great. Has that deep kind of flow master/magnaflow vibe to it but WITHOUT THE DRONE...
Borla or ford performance catback with resonator (had it, not loud, A+)
Magnaflow street (had it, it drones)
Awe and corsa don’t drone but they are still loud
Also, in person/driving sounds completely different than internet. Also peoples judgements and opinions are all over the place. Try to...
20 or 30 weight is for NA cars.
The blower warranty states to use 5w50. After warranty or whenever you feel like it, you can use whatever you like.
Personally I feel a 0 or 5w40 is a good compromise for street use. On the track definitely the 50 weight.
Wow very nice Im jealous.
I grew up going to track days with my dad and his 911. The track is Porsche's home. I would bet on the Porsche.
-Its almost 1k lighter.
-PDK
-mid engine better balance
I didn't think so. Have you changed the cabin air filter lately? Sometimes stuff gets caught in there and you can see around inside towards the blend door and see if anything is hung up.
The fp sport catback gets rid of the resonator so that will still be nice and loud. I had the touring version which includes the resonator and it was still slightly louder than stock but much deeper and better sounding.
The extreme will be very loud, pretty sure it’s a carbon copy of the borla...
Got you beat i average 30k/year. Just go with one of the big names, don’t abuse it and it will last a long time. Especially highway miles that’s what I also do. There’s nothing better than walking out after work and cranking up 700+ hp to drive home everyday.
My theory is that LM Ceratec has kept the false knock away from my car that others are seeing on the 21s. I think these engines are so noisy from the factory and that is being picked up as false knock.
Ive used Liqui Moly for years. So when my supercharged 2021 got delivered, day 1 swapped...
Does anyone know if the Roush tunes change the parameters of the oil bypass control? For example keeping it closed at all times to ensure higher oil pressure than stock.
You may be able to find a shop that will install some bottle resonators for you.
The pre-facelift exhaust is also a good suggestion. All you need is the 2 rear mufflers. The resonator Is the same.
