It's been almost a month now, no updates from the dealership or Ford direct. Part is still on "backorder with no ETA"... I have no idea what to do at this point. I've tried getting ahold of someone who communicates with the actual manufacturer of the part, but Ford says they have no idea who it is. So many nice sunny days going by without my baby :crying:

Any chance jokerz or kong could help?

Dang it, MG...that's clearly not the response JW got from Ford for a new motor. Seems like your part would be easier to get their hands on and ship.

I sure hope it gets fixed soon so you still have lots of good summer days to enjoy her.

@themedsterr i PM’ed you a couple phone #’s to try and get this resolved. If you’ve already went this route with still no success, sorry. I do know this route got me an engine, from a closed Ford plant because of the virus and a supercharger shipped across the country. Eaton is the builder of the supercharger and components.

It wasn't a gift, but instead a purchase. Tob and his wife are responsible for probably the best mod available for the GT350 and GT500. I speak of the caliperfexion brake studs. What you see pictured is one of the sleeves that screw onto the stud so the the caliper slides back away from the rotor and suspends the caliper while you work on the brakes and or rotor.

This was my writeup a long time ago when I installed them onto HR361.

I agree with Tomster, best mod for the GT350 and GT500.

Just make them get you a new supercharger* assembly. They should come with a new actuator.

I like to disassemble things.
Some fodder if you want to educate yourself about it and take the bull by the horns. From the component description section in the factory manual...

The relevant pinpoint tests from the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis section...

Maybe the most relevant tests that you may want to check as these are pretty easy

You can do a simple check to see if the actuator rod is bound up as well as a check with a vacuum gauge. You may find that if you run the plunger up and down a few times that all is good - you never know. If checking with a vacuum gauge, you can see from this snippet of Justin at VMP's video what the position of the valve would be...

If you couldn't get through to Kong/Jokerz I would definitely call Justin at VMP and talk to them about it. If you still can't get anywhere you could try Whipple as well.

Took two months to get the side fender snakes for my car. I though driving the car without them sucked but you are in a much worse state. I did get the PremiumCARE Plus! extended warranty as a bonus

I just got through Jokerz and they said they have actuators in stock but said to get it checked first, so they referred me to Coastal Dyno over here in Florida. Both Jokerz and Coastal said they doubt this is an actuator issue and that the dealerships talking outta their ass. Going to take her there tomorrow to get diagnosed, fingers crossed!

On the work order from the dealership does it list any codes?

You should be able to check out the actuator with a MityVac or vacuum gauge, everything is out in the open and easy to access. You can check for vacuum from the engine, a ruptured diaphragm in the actuator and disconnected or seized linkage. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.
