But the ZLE and C8 cost less* so they are better
No one would call the c8 a muscle car, I would say the zl1 and gt500 are not either.

Only car on the market that leaves no doubt as to what it is is a V8 challenger.

That does not make the gt500, zl1 or c8 bad cars in any way shape or form, however a muscle car is a very specific kind of car.

Top Gear and almost every other publication calls any car that roughly fits in the box a muscle car, hard to blame them when there are so few cars that really fit the definition.

I know someone will take this as because I think the challenger is the last muscle car, then I must hate the gt500 in some way. Nothing could be further from the truth.

All of the magazine bench racers can rejoice now because the GT500 came first!

I guess Top Gear got to test a GT500 that didn't have flat tires and half it's aero missing....

Being over 50 I'm sure that I'm right and having had Muscle Cars and Mustangs they haven't been one in a long time

Is it the magazine's fault they were given a poorly prep car? Why would Ford allow a poorly prepped car out on track?

American V8 supercharged coupe=muscle car
Wrong.

Corvette zr1 is not a muscle car.

To be a muscle car it does not need to be supercharged.

To be a muscle car a car must have all of these.

A V8 the bigger the better.

RWD.

4 or more seats. That’s right a 1 or 2 seater dodge demon is not a muscle car.

A bigger car, there are some compact muscle cars but they are not the norm.

Designed as a strip and street car, straight line power and top speed over handling. If a car is focused on handling more than raw power and drag strip performance it’s not a muscle car.

Some of the things that make the gt500 not a muscle car are, DCT transmission, a muscle car does not need or want something that fancy. 16.5 in breaks, only two seats in the CFTP, CF wheels, muscle cars don’t come with 6+ grand in wheels on a car. Many more things but I think you get the point.

Once again this does not make the gt500 worse in any way, in fact you could argue muscle cars are outdated, gt500 and Gt350 are amazing cars, they are just not muscle cars that’s all.

I love slowly filling in the spaces for those who come to conclusions without reading and knowing the facts.....the car came directly from another tester(leased)...got it?

BUT if it was Fords fault for the bald tires in that test was it Fords fault that the Camaro's tires were too cold when it got a 15 bus length gapping multiple times in the Edmunds test???
