Exactly! I'm right there with you brother. I love the way my A6/street car performs with the "truck intake". Better mid-range for passing slower traffic, accelerating up inclines/on/off ramps, and swiftly getting away from a dead stop.

Oh, and did I mention it cost me less than $100. Oh yeah, I did.

I agree added a cold air and modified the exhaust had the tuner set the shift points at 6500 RPM
what's not to like. It's not a race car but it is fun to drive.

Yeah, my set up currently consists of: 1. GT350 CAI, 2. F-150 intake manifold, 3. Pypes LTH's w/out cats, 4. Borla/FP resonated x-pipe, 5. Roush AB's, and to top the whole thing off; 6. Flex-Fuel tune by LUND.

I couldn't be happier. I did ALL the installation work myself, and bought ALL the parts used, which means my entire outlay wasn't much more than a set of new Kooks headers.

The end result: My car phucking RIPS...!!!

from someone that has had both the f150 & '18 intake: they are both fun for different reasons. Purchase what your budget allows and use of your car!

I'm curious to hear an actual butt dyno result of these 2 vs just dyno graphs. How did you feel each manifold performed against each other both on the street and driving hard?

there is a straight away near my house. I did a dead stop to a certain point(sign) and the '18 manifold was 9 mph faster at the sign. Keep in mind the F150 manifold was on a canned 'Bama tune. The '18, VMP tune which feels more aggressive (shifts harder)!

Anywhere between 6,500 and 6,800 rpm.

This is while I'm out doing "spirited" driving away from other traffic in the hinterlands of SW Iowa/SE Nebraska. I have absolutely no need to "race" other dumb-asses on the street. No "roll" or "dig" racing for me. I just like to enjoy my car without the prying eyes of the general public or Johnny Law looking on.

Yes, there are times when I "get on" my car when passing other traffic, or when entering/merging on/off the highway or interstate; but when in traffic I'm never at full-throttle. With the power-band and hp/torque my combo is making, going full-retard on the go pedal is rarely if ever needed when in traffic.

And this is why I am not interested in outright HP numbers at 7,800 rpm.

Exactly my thoughts too. How often am I going to enjoy 7,000+ RPM power? VERY rarely!

I'm finding it really hard to find a 2015-2017 F-150 intake manifold.

Seen some 2018 ones on eBay but not sure if it'll be as 'bolt-on' as the 2015-2017?! Anyone tried a 2018 F-150 mani yet?

Earlier in the thread a couple people were going to buy a couple '18 F150 manifolds but I haven't seen anyone actually install it yet to confirm it works. I suspect it will work just find but you may run into the same issue as the regular '18 manifold has where it requires pigtails for the different connectors. I cannot confirm that yet though.

I find it curious that about six months ago, the F-150 manifold was easy to find and cheap to buy. Now, they are almost nowhere to be found.

Maybe this thread has something to do with it...?

Right OK... not really willing to be the guinea pig here! LOL! I'll keep searching for a 2015-2017 part. Fingers crossed.

Hah. An '18 just popped up on ebay for 200$. It seems the ports were legit redesigned like the '18 GTs buuuutttttt. I eye balled it and just seems like they re-did the gasket and its not exactly any bigger.
