lund tune w/o mods worth it?

I have only Solo Performance street exhaust and would not mind a CAI but I don't have to have one, would a Nguage with Lund tune be worth the purchase? Automatic with 3.15's is what it would be going on if that makes a difference.

Yes. You already have a great exhaust set-up so I would rec a CAI (Steeda/PMAS/JLT) - the performance/sound of these cars once tuned w/an aftermarket exhaust are

Auto w/ 3.15's on Lund tune. If you are worried about the warranty then obviously don't do it but I think most if not all of the guys with tunes would say they have not had any issues as a result of the tune.
The first time you lay 15-20 ft of rubber when you hit 2nd gear will convince you its worth it.

Normal gains are 20-25 whp with a tune alone which is right at 5%. E-85 tune would be about 10 whp more so about 8%.

I had a Borla X-pipe and Cat back on my '14 GT...bought a Steeda intake and a Steeda Tune.

Night and day. Most definitely worth it.

Not only is there a marked power difference (and the fashion in which the power builds) but the throttle response change makes for a better driving experience as well.

My car will burn the tires as you do an easy roll onto the throttle in second gear as it reaches near 5000 rpms. It smokes 'em before you even roll into full throttle.

Go for it.

I kind of like the fact I can run 87 octane with minimal losses. Better throttle response and shift points are enticing though.

Why is E85 getting better power NA? I get the cooling effect but I've been told that the loss of energy production cancels out the gains here.

Because it's about 100 octane = much higher timing allowed = more power.

It's been stated many times. The problem is not the tune causing the issues. The problem is if there is an issue with the car, in particular with the engine, The blame will most likely fall on the tune.

this is always the best advice..but i always laugh when people worry about warranty when they make 30-40 more hp that stock and worry about blowing up the motor..:doh:

They aren't worried about their engine blowing up, they're worried about the myriad other things that can go wrong with an engine that will probably no longer be covered. Most people can't even change their own oil so it is a valid concern for the majority of drivers.

Is the flex fuel tune really worth it w/o headers or FI mods? For a street driver, is this really noticeable?
