Same problem... and I have LTH and straight mids.
I put the Vibrant resos on, at the bend of the pipe before the mufflers. It "helped" but it is still obnoxious.
The rasp is annoying AF!
Live and learn..
I can not say much, as my 18' only has 11k on it. Bought it in June of 2018 new.
That said, I drive it when I can and when want to. It also sees drag days and NC mountain roads for fun.
I am fortunate enough to have a vehicle provided by my job and several others to drive daily.
$32,900
I was tempted... But I'd have to return my exhaust back to OEM. Not taking a $2k loss or paying cost of removal for long tube headers.
I'll be keeping it.
WE got boned last year cause of Covid. Glad life is getting back to something like normal, and this is on again! Ill be driving from NC for the cruise. Always good to make a trip home.
MIne went in the fall for the "tick". The dealer service manager listed to it and cringed when he heard it in the write up lane. Tech had the car for several days and obviously reproduced the noise. As anticipated, it was reverted back to it being "normal" by Ford standard.
I'll keep saying...
I have a 5 Star 93 Oct tune on my 2019 F-150 2.7 EcoBoost. Other then having some misfire code issues, the tune is great. The issue seems to be added boost and needing a cooler plug.
I run a Lund 93 Oct tune with the Steeda closed lid, and have for well over a year. No real issues to speak of. The power seems to be there. The IAT's are better then when I was running the JLT open CAI.
Here is a question...
Those that are burning oil some, who does and who does not have the tick?
Mine after the oil is changed is very prevalent, until I put a can of Ceratec in, then it tapers off.
Again, "it's normal".. Ford, you are full of shit...,
