Depends in you are doing a catback or not. Sw does not come with a mid pipe but if adding a catback no issues. If your just doing axle back then the arh might be the one to consider. I myself did arh and love them.

I have SP headers and I definitely notice this noise. The ARH headers don't have this sound?
No they sure don't. I notice these headers deepened the tone as well.

I'd say you hear that noise way more from the front than the back. Its valvetrain noise, I believe.
Most of it is combustion noise. Different headers use different thicknesses of steel and different grades of steel (most are T-304 or T-409) which play into this. My pypes long tubes were lighter than the stock shorties so of courses the tubing was thinner. That said they fit perfectly and cost less than any other stainless long tube header and they sounded awesome.

Tons of great information and love the debate. I think I'm leaning towards ARH. I'm not too thrilled over the probability of fitment issues and tinny/pinging noises with the other brands and especially being able to pick them up for only a couple hundred more than SP headers seals the deal for me. I think it'll be worth it in the long run. Thanks guys!

You can't go wrong with any of the brands we sell more of the SP and pypes due to cost but we also do alot of arH, sw, and kooks

Hit us up on any of them

I swear I'm not coming on this board any more. Every time I talk myself out of headers I come on here and 5 minutes later you guys have me looking at buying them again. SMH! I gotta say, just from pics alone the ARH set-up looks REALLY good. And I have never heard anyone complain about the price or have regrets after buying them. You can't really go wrong. On another board years ago the ARH team posted a video of their facility and their process of making their products. The guy even offered everyone a chance to come down at any time to view their facility and take a tour. They were really nice and polite and extremely professional. They answered everyone's questions. I gotta say, after that I was really impressed with them. It goes to show that you don't get to be the best for nothing. And one thing I also like about them is that after a few years they still look good. While other brands start to look weathered they retain a nice quality look to them. And there are other little things that they consider. The finish for one thing is top notch. You won't be disappointed at all with them.

I have also noticed a few other brands that might be worth consideration. TSP has headers for the 15 and up GT. And another company called X-Force has headers too. There are lots of options out there.

I installed mine on jack stands also, the back of my head feels bruised lol. Did you reuse all the stock studs/bolts?
I reused all the studs on the driver's side, and all but 3 studs on the passenger side.

I agree man. I've spent a lot of time on the phone with Nick (owner) and Steve, and both are great guys to talk to and extremely knowledgable about their profession. not to mention every cobra jet from 2008 on has ARH headers. That's impressive! Needless to say I went with ARH. Pulled the trigger today! Hopefully they ship out soon so I can put them on :headbang:

I know them feels. I've been putting it off since nov and still haven't bit the bullet... but my reason is because I'm scared of how loud it actually will be with my xtremes...only reason I've held out.

Does anyone here with Kooks have some crazy vibrations/noise going on inside after the install? When driving, you can certainly feel it under the floor and hear it inside. Almost sounds like someone's blowing in a bottle like this:

Currently trying to troubleshoot this at a shop atm. Sounds really nice on the outside of course, but good god this vibration crap is gonna kill me. I've been talking with Kooks while at the shop and seems like a million other people trying to figure out what's causing it or if it's normal.
