This is why you leave advancetrac on. I did the same thing with my prior car

My insurance let me take some stuff off but they said that upgrades dont add value to the car and wouldnt give me credit for most stuff. I had e85 in the tank though so I couldnt really put the stock tune back on so I had to leave on the tune and flex fuel sensor, aftermarket supercharger pulley, thermal expansion tank.

I removed my cat-back (didnt have the stock exhaust to put back on so I just left it open headers basically) , removed my upgraded intercooler pump, catch can, floor mats.

I would think the insurance wouldnt have any problem with you removing the axles and driveshaft and replacing with stock, but if the aftermarket ones are broken that would be pointless and counter productive for you to do. If hes on 93 octane you can probably remove the fuel system injectors and whipple and put the stock tune back on, if on e85 you may need to drain the tank and stuff.

A buddy of mine totalled his modded S550 and we got the car dropped at my house so I could remove the parts off the car for him. Then they picked it up. Im sure it all depends on the insurance company. Talk to your adjuster.

Ah......man! This is why I am concerned about installing forced induction on my car, I will probably end up same way and kill myself!

Glad your brother is ok. I totaled my'18 with a Whipple, and my insurance company said I was more than welcome to take my parts off as long as I had the O.E. stuff to leave with the car. Damage was extensive, so wasn't worth my time to remove it.

I'm sorry to see this but your brother did get on it in the wrong area. I learned a long time ago the following the should not be in the area when getting "on it"......Trees, light poles, people, houses, other vehicles. Always leave yourself an "out" in case it gets away from you....oh and on the public highways; I never fully turn off traction control.

This makes a GT350 look better and better. More chassis, brakes and stick-to-the-road, rather than a vehicle with tons of power, and little ability to deploy it safely.

That is a pretty generic response. I would say that often when people add power, they also add better suspension and brakes, among other things. Of course there are those that only want more horsepower and nothing else matters much.

This makes a GT350 look better and better. More chassis, brakes and stick-to-the-road, rather than a vehicle with tons of power, and little ability to deploy it safely.
