Could this whole impeachment plan be a nefarious scheme by Republicans?

Just think about it, What is there 6 senators running for nomination plus Biden? A senate trial could take months and months where these people would have to sitting at their desk listening because they are the jury. Joe Biden will surely be subpoenaed and be made to undergo a lengthy and brutal examination by Republican counsel as to every thing he and his son have done in Ukraine. All this time, Trump is out fundraising, shaking hands, kissing babies and getting votes. Buttigeg would get a boost, the Hawaiian beauty would be unhindered, The other 7 may as well give it up. Maybe Trump is responsible for his own impeachment, could he be that scheming?

If Trump were going after someone for political gain, it certainly wouldn't be Biden. Trump would LOOOOOVE to run against Biden in the next election. Biden is probably the best candidate if Trump wants to make sure he will win.

Trump sees Biden as the most threatening Dem candidate. Trump has always lied, cheated and schemed throughout his entire life to try and achieved everything he wants. He doesn't care if laws are broken or people are smeared.

In his mind "fighting corruption" with corruption, especially for personal gain, is perfectly fine in his world, regardless of laws.

It really doesn't matter in the end. If our legal system still functions, Biden will be in jail soon. There is ample evidence that he has broken several laws.

Unlike Trump, whose political opponents have been searching for years for a law he has broken and are still unable to find one.

I'm just picturing Biden in a debate and all the gaffes he would make. Entertaining, but not confidence inspiring in any way. And he's already said so many stupid things publicly that it would be easy to come up with negative ads against him.

Yeah, Biden does seem to come across as Trump like in some ways. Kind of snarky and knows how to get wrapped up in corruption too. Guess it's "fight fire with fire".

it amazes me how this guy can be so corrupt in plain sight a good amount of the time and his flock follow him blindly. He has no ideology and therefore is not tethered by any moral compass.

Why? he has somehow won the US presidency while still hiding the fact that he is a Russian Agent (or maybe a double agent and we are supposed to think he is an agent so Russia thinks he is an agent so we can really spy on Russia), managed not to start the nuclear holocaust that was predicted and get us out of NAFTA so the Canadias don't profit anymore off of the cheap US labor pool.

Could you imagine what our political process would be like if we legally allowed every country in the world to be involved? The founding fathers specifically wanted absolutely no part of that, and that's why we have laws against any forgien influence on this country's election process.
